Wrapping up Poll Results

Dear Patrons,

1 month ago we released a survey to gather some feedback about our Patreon campaign. We received a lot of valuable feedback from this and want to thank each one of you that has participated in the survey!

In this announcement, we will be going over a couple of topics that were brought up. Many of the requested features will be implemented at some point in the future.

Offline Mode
This was a highly requested feature, and since the last update in September, Trucky is fully functional offline. Including job tracking, which will store your jobs locally, until the app can connect again and will then synchronize your jobs.

Dashboard (Simdash)
This has been asked by some, it is something we have had in mind for a long time already. But we don't know exactly when it will be implemented. Certainly, the Mobile Dashboard that we have at this moment needs some love.

Chat with friends
Although there is Discord already, it might be interesting to add a real-time chat within VTCs. So that you can reach out to your fellow truckers to have a chat or to meet up and start hauling together.

Average Fuel Consumption in the Overlay
This will certainly be something that we will be looking to implement.

Better Cargo vs Trailer in Dispatcher
Sadly, this is a hard topic, and we know the struggle with Cargo Mods or Custom Trailers will probably be an open point for a long time to come :(

Show the Trailer image in Dispatcher
Unfortunately, this is something only TruckersMP can do reliably without a high maintenance need. I'm sorry.

Improve the integration with TouchPortal
This is something that definitely needs to be improved, TouchPortal is quite limited in this but a graphical refresh could help. We are also thinking about introducing direct integration with Stream Deck.

Enable AUX Lights Automatically
Why not? Added to the to-do list.

Emergency braking lights (blinkers flashing when hard braking)
This is a great idea, added it to the to-do list!

Fix and refuel truck
Noted and added to the to-do list.

AFK for TruckersMP
This is something that is on the edge of being against TruckersMP rules but can probably be tolerated. We will contact and discuss this with TruckersMP. If it is allowed within the rules, we will look into implementing this feature.

Tachograph
Another nice idea, we need to figure out how to make it adaptable to the game and include it as a dedicated overlay. It is at the bottom of the to-do list but has been noted.

Being able to stack Cargo jobs
This is unfortunately not possible, due to a limitation of the game.

Better Driver's Banking features and more control over VTC finance
Noted and added to the to-do list. In the future, there will be new features on the financial side of VTCs such as vehicle insurance and the ability to access loans.

VTC Hub Live Map
It is already on the roadmap and will be implemented. It is not yet clear if it will be a premium feature or if it will be sufficient for the VTC owner to be a Patron to make the Map available to all members.

Some feedback was addressed to the in-game performance and we would like to say a few words on this argument and also on the integration with Overwolf. We know that Trucky and especially Overwolf can cause some performance drops, from a few unceremonious FPS to several tens.
Our advice at this time is to turn off video recording (replays) which is the feature that takes the most CPU.

In the last few weeks, our development has been focused on changing the way the app depends on Overwolf, especially regarding the in-game overlay. Currently, it is not possible to totally turn off overlay integration by Overwolf but in the future, it will be possible to disable it drastically reducing the impact on your system.

This does not mean that Trucky will not be based on Overwolf, but it will be possible to prevent Overwolf from injecting itself into the game and eating your FPS. It will be a user's choice whether or not to disable in-game integration, all other features such as the VTC Hub, Dispatcher and Mod Manager will continue to work as normal.

We thank you for all your comments and kind words during the survey, we know that many of you support Trucky genuinely and unselfishly concerning premium features but we always want to give you more.
