In the books, Sansa is just being readied by her maids, and wondering why everything they're putting her in looks so fancy and womanly, and then they fasten a bridal cloak around her neck and Cersei tells her the guests are already waiting. She tries to run away, and barely gets a foot before Cersei has Meryn Trant stop her, and tells him to drag her but not rip the expensive dress. She really got just thrown into the ceremony. Additionally, in the books, it's almost as bad as you were expecting. Tyrion doesn't tell Sansa to stop until she is totally naked, because it's told from his perspective, and he's super interested, despite her being BARELY THIRTEEN in the books.
