Project Starchild WIP + Last Week in Japan

Before I get into all that, here's a preview at what the roughest of rough looks like in book production!
To build a general composition from the things that have inspired me here in Osaka, I build most scenes by photobashing things together. It helps me block out ideas, colors, contrast--everything I need to really build a visual and kinda launch from there. The first pic is actually like, 3 different ones stitched together, haha. Generally things end up looking VERY different from what they look like in this form but the start is important. Figured it'd be interesting to look at!
As for Japan... well, my time here is almost up. Book progress is coming along but there's still a lot of work that needs to be done. Like, a lot. I didn't take into account a) how much 40+ pages of art really is in workload but, more importantly, b) how little work I'd get done while still coping with depression/my demons out here. A 8-to-12-hour time difference isn't enough to escape my problems, weird.
It's been a learning experience for sure. I hope to be back sooner rather than later. There are still plenty of photos and stuff I need to edit and post and share with y'all so y'all can enjoy that. I'll prolly write up some like, greater retrospective thing, too, when I'm back in Canada. I also have one more stop on this world-wide trip before I head back to Montreal so look forward to that on Twitter and stuff. I hear it's a good location to pick up purses.
