I can agree with everyone on here that you should react to Skam Norway!!! But not only season 3 as I know that you would like all of the seasons. In my opinion the best coming of age/teenage series out there with realistic and heartbreaking storylines, plus it´s also very funny and it has REALLY likeable characters!

It's a Norwegian show and the season focuses on Isak who is closeted and experiences internalized homophobia while falling for a new guy at school. So, the song at the end is Revolution. His mother lied to him and August betrayed him which, in his mind at least, has lead to him hurting/losing Simon. So I think he’s gonna go scorched earth and burn the mofo to the ground while trying to win Simon back. In other news, if you liked this story, you should read Red, White, & Royal Blue by Casey McQuiston. I think Amazon is making it into a movie in the next year or two. Similar Prince storyline except the Simon character is replaced by the son of POTUS. Great read!! As far as next shows, I would say Love, Victor is a good option. Skam and Skam France (Season 3 for both specifically) would also be good. These two would probably have to be patreon exclusive or require a lot of editing due to nudity but Elite and Queer as Folk.

I already saw a few people recommending this, but I also think you're gonna like Skam (Norway version, the original). Season 3 has a gay character, but I think your also gonna like the first two seasons. It's a really good show about just high school teenagers with struggles, just very realistically shot. I don't know if it's "popular" enough for you to react to, but I would love to see it!

The english subtitles really messed up with the mom. If I can speak from the perspective of a Swedish person - she doesn't really shame him for being gay, she doesn't say that he's not allowed to EVER meet with Simon, just that they will have to keep it on the downlow because of the sextape, not because he's been outed as gay. Which I find wonderful, even though the mom is the freaking queen of Sweden she still supports her son of who he loves. The subtitles in english are "I don't want you to be seen with Simon" but what she actually says in Swedish is "In the meantime, I don't want you to meet with Simon" - hence, she isn't saying he's not allowed to EVER see him, just NOT RIGHT NOW. Which I can understand, when a sextape has been leaked of the CROWN PRINCE I would also suggest not being seen with the person involved to keep it on the downlow. Yes, YES it is unfair - but as Brad said, its extremely strict, I don't think the mom wants Wilhelm to stop seeing Simon for the time being because of his sexuality just because, if this were to happen in real life to the royal family, this is what they would do. Although she really well.. f*cks up in the end of the episode, she really doesn't show him any sort of empathy, which is sad.

I have never seen anyone react so genuinely upset as you do and it helps me get different points of view on things and also put them into perspective because of your authenticity. But I really don’t get why you think crying is not an appropriate reaction to content that is really disturbing and/or upsetting, when it‘s just a natural reaction to it. They've only just started filming the RWRB movie so it most likely won't be ready to come out until next year sometime. But I agree, it's a spectacular book, an amazing read and everything I've seen so far of the adaptation e.g. the cast, chemistry, filming location etc. looks pretty good. I'm so excited for it!

I had very similar feelings to the finale. If we hadn't gotten a season 2, I would have been sooooooo angry. Wilhelm straight up got Simon's hopes up only to dash them. If I was Wilhelm, I'd abdicate the throne. Fuck the monarchy. Being royalty legit seems like a punishment to me. Granted, the wealth would be wonderful, but to be that much in the public eye with such huge expectations... never. Next season I hope Simon gets a love interest who isn't afraid to be seen with him. I think it'd help Simon gain confidence back and help Wilhelm to see that his love for Simon is worth the ridicule. Fuck August. He belongs in prison. I want him revealed as the one who leaked the tape and to face consequences for it.

For a series recommendation, if you haven’t already seen it, maybe try the umbrella academy, season 3 has just been released, but the whole thing is really good and has a really interesting plot, I think you might like it :)

If you're looking for ideas about what to watch next, Skam Norway season 3 is great. You don't need to watch seasons 1 and 2, each season is centered around different characters. Season 3 has an LGBT storyline.
