Watching you react, your commentary and little anecdotes was amazing - I'm definitely going to see how you reacted to Young Royals next LOL. This show has had such a profound effect on me and brought out some deep emotions because I could relate to so much thinking back to my own history in school, and also because I am going through a bit of an identity transformation myself at the moment. Might be a bit late in life, but better now than never. Thank you for sharing your reactions so authentically! Your emotions were so real and I could totally relate.

2022-06-16 15:51:44 +0000 UTCI saw your reactions on YouTube and subscribed after binging them in an afternoon, and now just went through these in a day (and I'm sticking around for Stranger Things!). As someone who first came out as a teenager about 23 years ago, I've not had the same sad, grief laden reaction a lot of my generation has had with it, I've cried through pretty much every episode, every time I've watched it, but it's been so cathartic and uplifting, it's made me so, so happy. Did I have this? No, nothing even close to it under Section 28, but my god it fills me with joy to think of a generation who does have this and more, this has been such an important show, for people of so many ages and it was great fun to watch it through with you.

2022-06-16 15:48:01 +0000 UTCHeartstopper is intentionally not about Charlie's bullying, Alice has said as much in the past, it was designed to be the story of how Nick and Charlie from Solitaire became Nick and Charlie. Solitaire goes into much greater detail the problems Charlie had the year before, but tonally it is a lot darker than Heartstopper, and comes with a lot of content warnings. Things you mention are addressed more in volume 3 and 4 of the comics (and onwards), but in a very healing way.

2022-05-24 23:03:37 +0000 UTCI love this serie and I love you Brad, but can we please pause the video when we are going on rants(and there will be more in coming seasons 🤯) not because I don’t want the rants (❤️ I LOVE the rants 🥰) but sometimes they make you miss subtle looks or something said with hidden meaning and it is such a shame because we want to see what you think about those tiny things as well 🥰 I know there are a lot of things to think about when you are uploading videos and that you will and should do what works best for you ☺️ I just thought with Heartstopper where the episodes are sooooooo short (and I also wouldn`t mind youre videos being longer 😁) it might work 😬🌈🏳️🌈

When Nick arrived on Charlie's doorstep in the rain my heart blew. I like how they decided not to end that episode the same way in the books but with Nick stood on Charlie's door step. Alice said they didnt want the episode to finish on a down note.

Pushing his cereal around and not eating it, Tori offers to make pizza but he isn't hungry, Nick wants to get popcorn at the movie but he isn't hungry, he opens and never eats his lunch. The only time we really saw him consume food was when he was on his first date, he drank the milkshakes.

U can see this situation getting more frequent every time Charlie starts to doubt himself or he gets anxious. Oh and u seem to like Tori, u should read the book "Solitaire" it's a book written by Alice Oseman taht tells Tori's story

I think my favourite parts of Brad's reactions are when he cracks himself up! Love the laugh!! Haha Brad, I would make a small constructive suggestion; maybe pause the video when you have some lengthier comments to make. We definitely want to hear everything you have to say, that's why we're here. But when the video continues while you're talking for a couple of minutes, I think you sometimes miss some key pieces of dialogue. Great work, keep it up!!!

They did such an amazing job making season 1 a complete story should Netflix say no, but so many avenues if they say yes. Tao and Elle's budding relationship, Isaac's story, Charlie appears to have issues with eating, Nick will have to deal with his friends. When I'm reading comments and watching various reaction videos I'm always surprised at how much the focus is on Nick's coming out journey and so little about what Charlie went through. He was outed and then bullied for a year. Ben then turns around and does more damage. That kiss in episode 3, that was such a brave moment for him to push forward and ask Nick those questions knowing in his heart he could lose a friend if he was wrong. Well done to Joe and Kit, they played those roles so well.

Idk why but I got so hyped when you did during the fight scene in episode 7 and started tearing up when you did in 8. There’s not that many reaction channels out there that can do that. I’m definitely sticking around to see what else you do, and to watch your young royals reactions!! I would really like to see you react to the bloopers, I think you’d find them very funny and charming. Also not sure if you know, but during the scene when they are one the train there is a woman sat on the opposite side to them drawing. That is Alice Oseman, the creator of the Heartstopper graphic novels!! I thought that was really cool.

The reason the episodes are as short as they are as they stick very closely to the novels which is great. Alice who wrote the novels was asked to do the scrips too hence why the show and novels are so alike. Season one covers books 1 and 2.
