What I never understood is how up to this point did Tao not put 2 and 2 together? I mean Nick literally grabs Charlie's hand and runs down the corridor in this episode

He often catches the phrases in the edits so sometimes the edits have a little extra. I watched the full set both the patreon and YouTube edited ones.

Straight folks don't *have* to come out - they're given the societal assumption of straightness automatically. In an ideal world, we wouldn't have to make assumptions about anyone. But even in that world, it wouldn't be a No One Come Out situation - it'd have to be an Everyone Comes Out one. :)

Imagine that: Everybody would just ignore me. Why do they care then if somebody is gay? Do they have no life? Is it that boring, that they are that interested in other people's lifes? Ridiculous and rude! In the novel there's a scene in Charlie's bedroom after their kiss at "HarryHenrys" birthday party. They are both crying (Nick because he's so confused, Charlie because Nick is crying)... And Nick says: "Now I've messed up both times we've kissed. Why can't we just kiss and be happy?" ... Very wise question!!! Enjoyed your video and I'm looking forward to the next one's... Maybe we'll see a little bit of weeping again ;)

2022-05-13 14:01:55 +0000 UTCOn the bi-issue and bi-erasure things you mentioned early on in the video: I’ve watched multiple reactions to heartstopper, and almost all of them said something along the lines of: “he’s definitely gay,” every time Nick showed his interest in Charlie, even though the series introduced the idea that Nick may be bi in the very first episode. It was most likely meant in the sense of ‘he’s part of the LGBTQ+ community’, but still. It felt so nice, supportive and validating when you immediately and enthusiastically jumped on the idea that Nick might be bi and the cool representation that would give (at least to me it did)
