Note 09/21/25
Added 2025-09-21 19:50:50 +0000 UTCDamn, I really hoped there would be another suggestion that was easier. But both options feel like the final boss, and I’m still stuck with a wooden sword. Anyway, here’s the poll. I’m going to try writing a story based on the winner’s suggestion. If some of you can’t remember both options, the post is called "Note: Experiment." I won’t start right away because I need some planning.

Just got an idea of "Why Not Just Do Both (or just one)" - You start with LM's submission and once you get to world 11 LM's MC crosses paths with my MC (whose in his 5th world) and my MC says,"Pleasure to meet with you again Mr. Ward." and LM's MC says,"I don't seem to recognize you and how do you know my name?" and my MC says,"Ah, I forgot that in your timestream we have not met yet. You may call me the Professor. I have to head off now lest my fiance starts to worry." and that concludes their interaction in the slice of life world. Then in the Marvel world LM's MC and my MC become the best of companions without LM's MC realizing that my MC is the Professor but when my MC suddenly disappears, LM's MC realizes that my MC was the Professor but 18 years old. After that you could either first complete LM's submission then start mine or you could start doing both or just finish LM's and never start mine.

2025-09-22 21:15:11 +0000 UTCI like LM simply for the diversity of the universes I think it’ll play into a niche not explored as much we already have MCIM for the marvel side of things I think LM would be pretty fresh

2025-09-22 20:57:35 +0000 UTCI agree with LM. For the planning, you could write what you know/plan for that world/universe and see where you could put the MC in the timeline to make the story interesting. And once you have done that, you could try to think like the MC (knowing their personality and life circumstances) to see how they would act in that situation and what kind of plans they would make. Essentially put yourself in the shoes of the MC.

2025-09-22 20:24:44 +0000 UTCIs your wooden sword enchanted to the max? If so you can slay the endgame boss easily. You could also think about the world hopping as short stories that follow/ connect with the previous ones instead of a giant Gordian knot that you have to craft and then unravel as the story progresses. If that helps.
