UTBW: Ch. 79
Added 2025-05-03 16:51:39 +0000 UTCNot long after, a squad of Uchiha ninjas excitedly departed the village. Guided by the ninja cats, they quickly caught up with the fleeing Sarutobi ninjas and began the slaughter.
"Who's there… Uchiha?!" The Sarutobi who had secretly fled stared in terror at the approaching Uchiha.
Pairs of Sharingan glowed with blood-red light in the night, like a horde of evil spirits on the move.
"Run!"
"Don't kill me!"
"Ah…!!"
The Uchiha ninjas swarmed in and quickly massacred the Sarutobi clan members. All the corpses were taken away by the Ninja Cat clan. The heads of the jonin were severed and delivered to the underground exchange for bounty.
Not much money, but even mosquito legs count as meat.
---
This kind of killing went on for an entire month. Eventually, the Sarutobi clan members realized that every member who tried to flee had met a tragic end.
The agreed-upon contact channels were completely useless. But it was already too late.
In Konoha, only 32 Sarutobi clan members remained, and one of them was Hiruzen, lying in a hospital bed, incontinent and helpless. At that point, fear gripped the hearts of the remaining Sarutobi.
They tried to visit the Uchiha clan, waving white flags and begging for mercy. They also tried to seek help from once-friendly clans.
But none of it worked.
The Uchiha ignored them, and the other clans and ninja, afraid of getting involved, refused to help. This directly led to a bleak atmosphere among the Sarutobi remnants.
Ten of them couldn't take it and committed suicide. The number of surviving Sarutobi dropped to 22.
Of course, such trivial details weren't something Junichi cared about.
All he wanted was the complete extermination of the Sarutobi clan. Once he gave the order, his clansmen would see it through with full dedication.
As for himself, he focused on stealthy training every day to improve his proficiency.

[Host: Uchiha Junichi]
[Age: 15]
[Skills:]
– Chakra Molding — Mastery (327/10,000)
– Armament Haki — Mastery (8/10,000)
– Observation Haki — Mastery (203/10,000)
– Will Blade — Skilled (5/1,000)
---
When it came to ninjutsu, there was nothing more to be said. He had learned ten techniques for each of the seven chakra nature types and raised all of them to the Skilled-level.
What was worth noting were the two types of Haki, both now at the Mastery-level.
Mastery-level Armament Haki could be projected outward, used as an invisible force to attack enemies at a distance. But Armament Haki wasn't just some physical energy, it was a domineering force that rejected everything outside oneself, a bit like an AT Field.
As for Observation Haki, upon reaching the Mastery-level, it began to exhibit a unique personal style.
"Range, Precision, Depth…" He closed his eyes and sensed every presence within a 500-meter radius. His Observation Haki could actually expand or contract its range at will.
"I can actually control all three dimensions freely?" Junichi opened his eyes, a hint of surprise flashing within them. This meant he could adjust the frequency of his Observation Haki as needed.
He could choose to sense with high precision over a short distance, or scan broadly from afar. He could even lock onto a specific target and read their emotional state!
Unlike others, who were limited to one fixed mode, his Observation Haki was exceptionally flexible!
"Hmm, this does align with my inner vision." He nodded slightly.
Whether it was foreseeing the future, reading minds, or Fujitora sensing a meteor from the sky, he wanted all of it.
And since he wanted all of it, then he'd take it all.
"Once Eye Blade was upgraded to Skilled-level, it evolved into Will Blade," Junichi murmured as he looked at the last item on his panel.
This [Will Blade] had two meanings. One, his will, his mental thoughts, could be unleashed as an invisible blade, no need for eye contact. The other, his "blade" could injure the enemy's spirit and will.
His expression turned contemplative. The damage from Will Blade was far subtler than before. If it were just Eye Blade, it could only crudely damage the enemy's brain, or shred their soul into fragments.
But Will Blade could kill from the level of spirit. Like erasing the enemy's personality while leaving the soul intact, or severing the spirit, leaving behind a healthy but empty shell.
"Amazing!"
His eyes sparkled as he immediately thought of a use for it.
He took out a glass tube containing Itachi's Mangekyō Sharingan.
"The Mangekyō reflects the soul, it contains the original owner's intense spiritual will. It's hard for outsiders to use the Sharingan. That lingering will is one of the main reasons. But now… I can erase that will, while preserving the Mangekyō itself?"
He narrowed his eyes, a faint white glow flashing within them.
Whoosh!
A formless slash burst outward.
Centered on him the air itself seemed to sharpen like it could sting the skin.
Ting!
The Mangekyō in the glass tube lit up with a vivid red glow.
A surge of powerful emotion spilled out: bitter resentment, rage, hatred, longing, hope.
Junichi could feel those emotions, almost as if they were forming images before his eyes.
Itachi's desire to protect the village's peace… shattered by Junichi. That intense hatred and despair in his final moments.
Slice!
He continued to unleash his Will Blade.
A burst of white light, and a faint, cutting sensation spread through the entire backyard, it was as if the whole area was wrapped in invisible blades, each inch filled with piercing sharpness.
Inside the glass tube, the Mangekyō Sharingan flared to life, glowing continuously. The intense emotions and spiritual will inside were slowly being worn down.
"So stubborn…"
Several minutes later, he finally stopped, rubbing his forehead wearily.
The pair of Mangekyō had dimmed again, the lingering will inside sinking back into dormancy.
"I gave it everything I had, and still only managed to erase less than one percent?" He shook his head. "Under normal circumstances, it wouldn't be this difficult."
"Yeah… the Mangekyō's ocular power is just too high. The spiritual will is tightly fused with the chakra, and chakra itself is naturally suited for carrying will."
He couldn't help but think of the endlessly reincarnated chakras of Indra and Asura.
If… No!
He immediately stopped that bold thought in its tracks.
Not now, at least, the Sage of Six Paths was still watching from the Pure Land, spiritually lurking for a thousand years, intensely monitoring the two reincarnated chakras.
If he made a move, who's to say the Sage wouldn't make one too?
"Better to keep things quiet."
He shook his head. "Let's start by erasing the remaining wills inside Itachi's and Shisui's Mangekyō first."
He stored away the glass tube. Pausing briefly, he looked outside the village, toward the direction of the Land of Fire's capital.
"If the timing's right, the letter should have arrived by now."
Then he turned his gaze to the Hokage Rock, a small smile playing on his lips. "Jiraiya and Tsunade should also be back in the village. I'm looking forward to it… A spectacular show about the position of the Fifth Hokage."
His quiet laughter drifted across the courtyard.
