UTBW: Ch. 77

In just one morning, Junichi had already mastered all the derivative techniques of Chidori to the Skilled-level.

At the same time, he absorbed a massive amount of ninjutsu knowledge from the four clans, especially the Sarutobi clan!

When the Uchiha clan destroyed their territory, they discovered a trove of Uzumaki and Senju clan techniques, the Sarutobi clan had practically embezzled half of the village's public resources!

Naturally, all of that now benefited him.

"Shadow Clone Jutsu…"

"Advanced Five Element Ninjutsu…"

"Sealing Techniques…"

"Yin and Yang Release Secret Techniques…"

Over the course of the morning, he had filled in the major gaps in his ninjutsu knowledge.

He now possessed all seven chakra nature transformations.

Although he hadn't fully awakened all seven chakra affinities yet, he could still forcibly use them, though with reduced effectiveness and learning progress.

"Shadow clones don't work…"

He shook his head as the clone beside him burst into a puff of smoke.

His Proficiency System could only be used by his real body. Clones didn't have access to it.

"Well, I guess having a system is better than nothing," he sighed, returning indoors to enjoy lunch.

By nighttime, he had already upgraded Chidori to the Mastery-level.

[Chidori: Mastery (1/10,000)]

Reaching Mastery meant that getting to the Expert-level would no longer be a matter of just a day or two.

He decided to put it aside for now.

A Mastery-level Chidori was more than enough. Without delay, he picked up a brush and wrote a training scroll on Chidori, breaking down every single step in fine detail.

From shallow to deep, meticulous and insightful. Then, Junichi summoned Yuki.

A few minutes later, Yuki arrived and asked, "What is it?"

"Here, distribute this to any clansmen who meet the training requirements." Junichi handed over the scroll.

"What is this?" Yuki asked, puzzled as he received it.

"It's the Chidori," Junichi replied casually.

Yuki's eyes widened in disbelief, staring at Junichi. He hadn't known that Junichi had forced Kakashi to hand over Chidori that morning.

He had only thought Junichi reclaimed the Sharingan.

"Don't worry. He gave it up voluntarily," Junichi said calmly, as if speaking of something trivial. "In exchange, as long as he keeps a low profile from now on, we won't bother him."

"Is that so?" Yuki nodded at those words. The process was definitely not as simple as Junichi made it sound.

But whatever, they had the Chidori now, and the Uchiha weren't about to give it back. This technique was practically made for the Sharingan.

"Excuse me." He, visibly excited, unrolled the scroll and began reading.

The more he read, the more astonished he became. The handwriting was unmistakably Junichi's.

Yet under his pen, Chidori was dissected and explained with stunning clarity. Every detail, every key insight was laid bare.

To him, it felt as though Junichi's grasp of Chidori was no less than that of Kakashi, the very person who developed it.

Maybe even deeper?

A shocking thought flashed through his mind. But he quickly shook his head. No, that would be too outrageous.

Maybe Junichi had secretly learned Chidori some time ago? And now, he had simply found the right opportunity to officially claim it.

Yes, that must be it.

Yuki found a suitable explanation and convinced himself. After thinking it over, he said, "I see you've broken the Chidori down into three prerequisite C-rank techniques. Are you planning to distribute the three basic Lightning Release techniques as rewards for merit?"

"No." Junichi shook his head, his eyes calm and resolute. "Those are for the clan members who don't meet the requirements. If they don't have lightning affinity, it can be trained later. If they don't have the Sharingan, it doesn't hurt to learn an extra C-rank Lightning Release technique."

Yuki's face showed surprise.

This was incredibly generous! It was an A-Rank Lightning Release technique, and one that matched the Sharingan perfectly. Even for a noble clan like the Uchiha, it was an extremely valuable asset. Yet he was just giving it away without conditions?

"Clan members with one tomoe can learn one technique unconditionally. Two tomoe can learn two. Three tomoe can learn them all."

Junichi didn't offer any further explanation, he simply gave the order. To him, the current Uchiha clan members were far too weak.

Even the three-tomoe users were just elite ninjas at best, unable to stand toe-to-toe with Kage-level fighters. But Junichi's strength had already reached a level where one foot was planted above the Kage-level. He had to strengthen the clan's overall combat power.

Otherwise, they'd be unusable.

"Chidori has follow-up derivative techniques. At the end of the scroll, I left a teaser, you saw it, right?" Junichi asked.

Yuki quickly nodded. "Yes, I saw it. Even Kakashi never conceived of any follow-up variations."

Junichi waved him off and continued, "The derivative techniques won't be passed down unconditionally. They'll have to earn them. As for how…"

He suddenly smiled, his voice quiet: "I've noticed the Sarutobi clan still has quite a few members left."

Though he spoke with a smile and a gentle tone, a cold and deadly aura accompanied his words.

Yuki felt his hair stand on end. But he wasn't afraid, instead, his spirit lifted, and he said, "This is really a perfect opportunity!"

He had been wondering why the Sarutobi clan hadn't been completely wiped out yet. A large group of private ninjas who had followed Hiruzen had survived and remained hidden.

Yuki and the other elders had discussed this many times and unanimously agreed on extermination. They had just been waiting on Junichi's command.

Now it made sense, they were being saved as live training targets!

Perfect for helping the clan master Chidori!

And once they were wiped out and the clan had grown proficient with the technique, they could begin training in the advanced derivatives. Everything fit together seamlessly, the Sarutobi remnants' value would be squeezed dry to the last drop.

"Just a spur-of-the-moment idea." Junichi shook his head, guessing what Yuki was thinking. But in truth, this hadn't been some long-term scheme.

The Sarutobi remnants weren't even worth that level of planning.

It just so happened that Chidori had fallen into his lap, so he figured he might as well use it to get some last value out of them.

"All right, go make the arrangements," he ended the conversation.

"Yes!" Yuki left with the scroll.
