Patreon Requests? Y/N?
Added 2018-08-01 18:50:38 +0000 UTCHey everyone :D
So now that the art book is just about finished up, Im actually really interested in doing Patreon requests again. However, I wont be implementing it in exactly the same way as I used to.
(Those ones ran me ragged, lol)
If you have any suggestions on how you would like to see these requests play out, please let me know in the comments below. Im just trying to decide exactly how I want to go about doing these requests again before I fully recommit

Definitely the right idea here as well.

Manage your available time: Think back to how much time you tend to have to stream on the day you would (typically) use for a request stream. Think back to (on average) how long you had to work on a given sketch in the past. If you only see yourself with an hour of time, and each sketch took you 30 minutes, then place a hard cap of 2 Patrons per month that can pledge to the request tier. Limit each patron to a maximum number of sketches in a year (say 2) to keep the slots from being monopolized. 2. Value your available time: Your work as an artist should pay WAY above minimum wage. The sketch tier should be valued at more than $10 a month of support. Consider putting the request tier at $20 or $30 per month, minimum. If you don't feel that re-opening Patron requests is viable in your current situation, consider instead Shaze's suggestion of allowing Patrons to vote on a monthly character/theme poll (the available options for which are set by you). If you're feeling adventurous, create a tier that allows Patrons to add a voting option to the next month's poll if they choose to.
