October Announcements & Updates

Hey everyone!

I've been radio silent since publishing my video on To Catch a Predator because I was on vacation in Europe (first time!). But I'm back now and diving back into things. Here's my rough plan for the channel projects for the next couple months.

October — So what was the deal with NCIS and Israel/IDF/Mossad?
NCIS is one of the biggest shows in the history of television. It's run for over 20 years, and routinely remains one of the most watched shows each year. It also, kind of strangely, heavily featured an agent from Mossad (the Israeli CIA) and a number of storylines about them. In fact, as a sheltered kid growing up in New England, this show was actually the first time I'd ever been exposed to the organization. As we approach, and pass, one year of this chapter of genocide in Gaza, and with Mossad executing an act of pager-related terrorism, I thought it might be worth looking into the show's portrayal of the organization and how it's been received. Not sure if this will be an official part of the copaganda series as it won't be an overview of NCIS as a whole, but it's definitely adjacent.

November — Jon Stewart's return to The Daily Show
In November, with the election having just happened (and hopefully with America still standing), I'm going to take a look at Jon Stewart's return to The Daily Show, and his take on a number of issues regarding the election. This will be a followup/sequel to my two-part series about his first run on TDS and his series The Problem with Jon Stewart, where I had some criticism of his approach. I haven't seen any of his pieces yet (purposefully) in hopes of watching them with the fresh eyes of retrospect and try to be as fair to him as possible.

December — Year End Extravaganza
For long time Patrons, you know that December is the fun time month, where we do all sorts of end year lists and retrospectives. I'm not planning on publishing a video on the main channel this month but I'm planning out all sorts of fun bonus content for you all.

January — How The West Wing Ruined The Democratic Party
Originally I was planning on publishing this in November but with the election on top of things that felt a little daunting, especially since we won't be sure who the president is until halfway through what would have been the production process. Instead, I'm going to put this video out in January around the inauguration (or insurrection, take your pick!). I have big plans for this video and am really really excited for it.

There will also, as always, be bonus content here in each month: mailbags, livestreams, lil skippies, and TV roundups. Looking forward to the next couple months!
