I've been really liking sketching with Procreate's gouache brush. It's a tip I heard that sketching with a thicker brush, it helps to avoid adding much detail early on and forces you to focus on the shapes themselves.
For this piece, it's been a while since I've been wanting do draw Heffer, and what better way than to pay homage to a specific title card. If your unfamiliar with that particular episode, Heffer invites Rocko to dinner to meet his family. Rocko has never met Heffer's family and assumes they are bovines like his friend. It's until they arrive, that Rocko learns that the rest of the family are actually wolves. The wallaby innocently mentions that he never knew that Heffer was adopted, which makes Heffer realise that his wallaby friend is right and leaves his house all saddened. He decides to drown his sorrows in food, even getting kicked out of an all you can eat buffet. I decided to go my usual route and go larger. For both of them.
Hope you like this sketch. This is aiming to become next month's piece. Comments are more than welcome. Enjoy!
