I’d forgotten about those things in the rings! Yes very much so, but perhaps the descendants of earth life even, but so far hence that they remember nothing of their origins, and I’m not even certain they are intelligent 🤗

I think that’s what a lot of stories amount to though, right? Fantasies of justice? But you’re right, this, like a lot of my stories, has a hint of divine retribution to it.

Not prone to religious texts at all, but the soothing catharsis, through this narrative so much more relatable, felt way too real. Also..I can’t help but get some faint vibes of the dark things within the rings of “the expanse “ and this gives me extra chills 🖤
