So Velvet’s Semblance is Photographic Memory. She copies fighting styles of those she observes, though she cannot copy their Semblances. Her “weapon” is Anesidora, her special camera. It captures images of gear in fine detail so as to simulate their full range of movements. The mimicked hard-light gear will only last for a few hits (why Coco has held her off earlier from using it). Even without Anesidora’s copies, Velvet’s Photographic Memory lets her recall the fighting styles, quickly switching and even combining them, which makes her a difficult opponent. And obviously a talented and strong fighter on her own just to be able to take on these styles as needed (probably spars with Fox and Yatsuhashi regularly). Roman,…I’m kind of sorry to see him go. He was certainly an opponent with style and flair. That “A Clockwork Orange” homage. GEN Ironwood and his condition is really only a surprise to the audience. I’m sure the history of how he was wounded so badly and needed such an extensive cybernetic rebuild is known. But like some he chooses to keep his prosthetics “tastefully” covered. The high society in Atlas likely prefer not to see physical reminders of the cost of Hunters and soldiers can end up paying. Again…WHY is the hallway so long and ceiling so vast in the vaults under the Academy when there is only one item of interest?!? Can we maybe exploit this some more? Will they later in the show? I think people unfairly judge Jaune in his role in the events in the vaults. Ozpyn did not provide him any information as to what was going on. So when he hears the woman he is in love with crying out in extreme pain, and not knowing this is likely an effect of a procedure, he’s probably to lose focus for a moment. Just bad timing there. And no one is expecting a stealthy Cinder to get within bow range. Likely everyone, Ox included, is thinking the first thing coming down the elevator will be a bunch of Grimm (don’t ask me how they’d work the controls) or White Fang.
