2025-07-17 16:21:30 +0000 UTCEpisode 3: Another fun fact: Penny being an android is something even CRWBY admits to being their worst kept secret. I’ve always loved the new outfits for our girls. Yang’s is my favorite. Those outfits also have names. Ruby’s is Slayer, Weiss’ is Snowpea, Blake’s is Intruder, and Yang’s is Hunter. “Ooh, look at me. My name is Weiss. I know facts. I’m rich” is actually an ad-lib from Ruby’s VA (Lindsey). And we love them for it. Episode 4: Neopolitan was based on a genderbent Roman Torchwick cosplay Monty saw at a con and he literally threw her into this episode very shortly before it aired. Ok so some notes about Yang’s semblance because people tend to get confused. 1) She has to take damage for her to use it. If she doesn’t take damage, she can’t use it. 2) Her hair must be glowing, and her eyes turn red. 3) Her eyes turning red ALONE does NOT mean she is using her semblance. Her eyes turning red by themselves is due to her emotions. Hope this helps. And as people have likely already mentioned, Ruby calling out the attack moves is a nod to the ship names between characters the FNDM had come up with, while also changing a couple. Freezerburn - Weiss and Yang, Checkmate (also known as Monochrome) - Blake and Weiss, Ladybug - Ruby and Blake, Bumblebee (the ship name is actually spelled Bumbleby) - Blake and Yang, and Ice Flower (more commonly known as White Rose) - Weiss and Ruby. Buzz buzz!!!!
