Since you're an admitted slut for cinematography, consider: it looks like they are animating this on twos - holding poses across frames. But the camera on animated ones - otherwise you get a horrible strobing effect. So every shot with a moving camera requires extra work move everything that's animated in 3D space on the held frame to keep it in "screen space". So that makes all the super dynamic camera moves and action sequences even more impressive and difficult. I fucking love this art style. It's so grotesque (affectionate) and expertly executed. A wonderful antidote to the soft, samey, family friendly slop certain studies have been drooling out lately.

She and Ken knew it wasn't the real one, because a human egg is only laid every 10,000 years, and it already hatched into her. Mud and Breadhead didn't know she's human, though. The symbol she drew on it was also to trick them.

They literally pour wet cement around their feet, "cement shoes" if you will, and when it hardens, it prevents them from swimming up. It was a common execution method in the real world Mafia, and where the term "sleeping with the fishes" comes from. I imagine it's even worse you you can actually die from drowning, so you're just stuck there for eternity.

Also, it's like Glitch saw how many kids were watching Murder Drones despite it not being meant for them and decided to fully scare them away with this. But as gory ad it is, I can't deny the animation is incredible! The mix of 2D and 3D with stop motion elements, it reminds me a lot of The Nightmare Before Christmas and Coraline. I hope it grows on you someday. 👍
