23:46 Goldie might be a better stand in for Webby, but she's not Scrooges "enemy" per se. She'd never agree to help actually destroy Scrooge. She has too much fun with him for that. De Spell on the other hand, Scrooge's arch enemy, now she would love it.

I love the Morgan cosplay! And the surfer accent. โ˜บ๏ธ Also, I forgot to mention it before, but you really got me with that announcement. I didn't even notice the thumbnail change until the day after, that's how devastated I was for a few seconds. ๐Ÿ˜ญ๐Ÿ˜‚ Great job!

Your April Fool's joke got me so hard I didn't realize this was an actual Ducktales video until four days after it was posted. "Why do I get the feeling this means he's up to a cockamamie scheme?" When has Glomgold ever NOT been up to a cockamamie scheme? The Glomgold theme song was originally created as part of a series of theme song takeovers Disney posted on their YouTube channel for various shows. They also did a Launchpad version, but that one never made it into an actual episode. It was originally released between seasons 1 and 2, so they couldn't mention yet that Glomgold wasn't actually Scottish- and, of course, Glomgold would never admit to not being Scottish anyway. Goldie as an evil counterpart to Webby doesn't really work because Goldie's not unambiguously a villain like Magica and all the other members of Glomgold's legion of doom. It might even be a very rare example of Glomgold learning from his past mistakes- he's tried to involve her in one of his schemes before and it failed spectacularly. There's also the whole love interest element with Goldie, and it's best not to think about how that works with any of the parallels involved here. The alternate Happy Birthday songs used in commercial contexts were a thing for a while because the actual song was supposedly under copyright and Warner Chappell enthusiastically enforced that copyright at any opportunity, whether that was charging licensing fees or suing over unlicensed use. However, they didn't actually own the rights to the song itself, just to a specific piano arrangement, and they lost a lawsuit over their copyright abuse in 2015, so now the regular song is public domain and public performances just use that. Della's actions in this episode are at the center of THE DISCOURSE [scare chords!]. Della is a complex and nuanced character, and internet fandom doesn't handle complexity and nuance very well. I will grant that they're generally correct in saying that the "If you want to be a part of this family" line was going too far, but the anti-Della faction practically never thinks about WHY she said that. In Nothing Can Stop Della Duck, she outright says in so many words that she doesn't feel like part of the family, and like she has to earn her way into it as a result of her actions with the Spear of Selene. She's applying the same logic to Louie that she does to herself. The other major criticism of her actions that actually has some reasonable textual basis is that she should have been there to enforce the grounding herself rather than leave it to the robot, and while I agree that would have been better for developing Della and Louie's relationship and making the parallels between their actions more explicit, I understand that was a choice that had to be made for plot reasons so that Louie could be alone when the villains showed up. Having Della there would have done more for her character development, but having Louie alone did more for his. One of the hardest things to do in fiction is make a smart character actually seem smart. After all, the audience has to be able to appreciate what they're doing, and the writers have to actually be able to come up with the idea themselves. But they pulled it off with Louie's scheme. And it wasn't even pulled out of nowhere- almost every element was set up beforehand. They even got the parallel with Glomgold and Louie both disliking their real names, but Louie thought that through and signed as Llewellyn, while Glomgold signed with his alias. And now Louie has all the money. Remember, his goal hasn't been to have a successful business, it's to be a successful businessmen, i.e. fabulously wealthy. Scrooge told him back in the season premiere that "you might just be a bigger billionaire than I am one day," and, well, today is that day. Louie got some character development in this episode, but he has more to go before his arc for the season is complete.

I Don't know if anyone else have said this but Magica being webby's counterpart makes more sense than Goldie 1. Her link with Lena who is linked with Webby, webby was usually the thing preventing lena from actually doing magica's evil plots, and She probably hates her the most for getting rid of lena (at the time) 2.Since she's Scrooge's greatest enemy, that automatically makes her Webby's enemy as well, especially shes obviously obsessed with scoorge to the point she dreams about being him or collecting his spit 3. Goldie is a enemy of Scoorge, but let's be real shes not his greatest enemy. She better at outsmarting and keeping up with him more than all the other villains combined but shes not that perfect, plus shes more Love rival than arch nemesis lets be real. while godlie would've been funny, especially to see her interact with the other villians. Magica was the objective right choice.
