His father saw Earth's first attempts to launch objects into space. He was so afraid of the possibility of invasion, that he drove their whole civilization underground, allowing the mites to take over. Lunaris is ashamed of his father's actions and wants to prove he's not a coward himself, by invading Earth first.

But the rest of the season after that basically all tie together with each episode leading directly into the events of the next one. So better brace yourself for a few cliffhangers. This is also just a suggestion, but you might want to avoid reading the title of the 22nd episode until after the intro. Just for the surprise if you haven't already read it. ;-)

Since the triplets used to look identical sometimes the artist would change a location to include one of the boys and the original was not erased so you ended up with a 4th triplet in a panel by mistake. Readers who noticed the accidental inclusion of the 4th triplet named him Phewy Duck.
