And it’s implied that Era 1 Peridots were taller, otherwise the restrictive gem empire probably wouldn’t bother making them taller with the limb enhancers if it weren’t to better fit the new peridots into the existing status quo. So we can guess that Era 2 peridots are a little more precious because they run the kindergartens that make gems and they are in low supply

Remember Ruby would only be higher ranked than Pearl in the gem hierarchy, then it would be Lapises Peridots and Quartzes (like Jasper and Amethyst) above that (not sure which is above which for those four tbh) then Sapphire at the tippy top at least compared to the other crystal gems. And of course the Diamonds which are huge from what we’ve seen so far are the most important

As a neurodivergent, but un-diagnosed high schooler I totally feel what he was going through. The poor grades, his parents getting the grade reports in the mail, the way he's desperate for social validation with The Cool Kids, the way he's so shy and withdrawn with everyone and feels like he has to put on an act to be accepted by others... except for Sadie. Scared of his true self. I get it, man. What Steven did was suuuuuuuper fucked up. The worst part is at the end when everyone in his life, his parents and his friends, said they LIKED him that way. Not the way he actually is. Not the TRUE Lars. They only cared when he acted like someone else.

I of course love them just hanging out, and Peri's excitement over the alien (and the iconic "I also do not steal Steven's clothes when he's not looking!"), but it's the lore and reveal for me. Peridot focuses so much on her intelligence and being a Kindergartener and technician because in her eyes and Homeworld's eyes, that's all she can do, especially without her limb enhancers...and she was made that way, so there's nothing she can do about it. Her height doesn't match an Era 1 peridot, hence the limb enhancers to make her taller (and why it's indicative of her rarity and importance, even in a resource crisis she was still made anyway). Told she was powerless her entire existence, she learns when in personal crisis mode that she in fact does have a special power: ferrokinesis! It is in fact metal manipulation, not just generel telekinesis. And it makes me wonder: did Homeworld lie, or did they not know Era 2 peridots have this latent power, or is she the only one? Is she special after all? She is to me, and to her new friends, and that's what matters more!

Since most gems of the same cut look almost identical to eachother, or at least like siblings. So she's saying her size is indicative of her being a Peridot. This also implies that Peridot's are more rare and important than some basic gems, but still lower in the hierarchy than Quartz gems like Amethyst and Jasper.

In addition, Pearl, Peridot, and Lapis are voiced by Filipino voice actresses. In fact, majority of the gems are voiced by women of color which is quite fitting, don't you think?

So the young ones eat their mother’s fecal pap, which is a special semi-digested form of poop that sustains the young koala between the time they stop nursing and the time they can eat leaves.

Lars was just possessed and how people reacted to him having a normal reaction to that did trigger me a bit. His body you know. 3. Sadie and Lars have a weird relationship but it is VERY much like a teenage one. I thought they were like 20 or something and Lars was in college, but I can't remember. (not a spoiler I just thought they were older)

Fun fact: when she stopped doing the breakdowns to be part of the Owl House staff, I looked for a new reactor to watch, and that wound up being Elijah!

It was an accident yes but this is the second time lars has been effectively held hostage by someone. The first time by saidie on that island episode and this time. He is a jerk yes but after both of these incidents I would never speak to Steven ir saidie ever again. Second: homeworld is running out of resources so if they don't expand then no more gems. If those injectors are the only way gems can reproduce then the rebellion may well actually have contributed to a gem extinction.
