...has there ever been a love triangle involving three women? I can't think of any in any show I have ever watched. Even Batwoman, where basically every single woman who graced the screen was queer, somehow managed not to have a love triangle involving three women*. * Depending on your definition of love triangle; something in season two might count?

The first friend! Lovely individual. But Mosco! The love triangle is *important*! Firey powers, supernatural foes, the mystery behind all of it, blah blah blah... EVERYONE knows that a true female protagonist is defined by which fella she'd rather smooch! ... I'm kidding by the way. Hard joking. Just typing that made my skin crawl. Besides, love triangles are blasΓ©. Where's the love rhombus? The rectangle of friendship? And the rarely utilized it's eroti-complicated dodecahedron? Gotta time travel and hop realities for that one. I don't know much on Chinese folklore outside of The Romance of the Three Kingdoms, but The Yellow Emperor is a big name in their mythology. This show doesn't go much into the specifics, but to compare with other folklore pantheons, he's a Zeus or King Arthur in their culture. I wouldn't have gone digging were it not for Midori on your server. Looking at all the things that have jumpscared you and creeped you out so far... I'll grant, the Aoyin is terrifying but... oh you sweet summer child... you are in for it.

With the least amount of spoilers possible, I will say the love triangle is what causes that 1 dock, but the plot and characters are so freaking good that it keeps it a solid 9. I also don't hate the love triangle. Just some issues with it, but not going to go depth with it yet. I agree with what you said about Wednesday. Now that love triangle was god awful. Wednesday had way better chemistry with Enid than any of the boys. If you want a show with a bisexual love triangle where the main girl has one with male and female characters, I suggest checking out XO Kitty. Season 2 made some questionable choices, but season 1 was so good.
