Her poor mother, indeed. It's a good thing Johanna doesn't have a "find my iPhone" method of tracking Hilda, because the stress would probably kill her. "WHAT IS SHE DOING IN THE MIDDLE OF THE OCEAN?!?"

I think Erik Ahlberg (safty patrol guy) is a changeling. It explains why the Rat King doesnt have anything on him. It can also explain why he is so reckless for attention without a care for i'm touching much as for the consequences of his actions, becuase he can just change into someone else.

Playing D&D as i rewatch through your reactions, now I wanna find a way to play Woodman in my next campaign. I'd figure Bard or Rogue. As for race (I don't think it's ever specified in the series) but I'd imagine Earth Genasi, or if the DM would let me play some kind of Dryad.

Poor Johanna, it's kind of sad to think that she pushed Hilda to make friends, but it does seem that Johanna only has Hilda to socialise with, or Hilda's friends. She clearly spent years essentially alone raising Hilda, so I wonder how much of a social network she has left.

good thing Woodsman doesn't have neck, otherwise someone would've strangled him by now
