Purses are big that is a wallet by American standards

Lonely Pancake

It's a purse with a wrist strap🤷

Phoenix Mackenzie

Ludwig Von Drake is one of Mickey’s Characters but in the show he was in the Agent 22 Episode

Rocky Carpenter

I think it classifies as a large wallet with a wrist strap. It's not your typical wallet or a purse.

Sarah H

I’m on Mosco side it’s a mini peruse

RavenFairy

I heard a theory that Della use a donor as a way to get pregnant.

Brett

Quick question: How is it that they have the word "humanity" when there aren't any humans? Even Von Drake only hypothesized about "super-intelligent hairless apes"...

shkspr1048

this place is actually based right down to the appearance on the Svalbard Global Seed Vault. One of the better things we've done as a species on the last 20 years; so obviously its in Norway.

Tyrant-Den

doesn't fit in the pocket. its a clutch

Tyrant-Den

A wallet goes in your pocket; pretty sure that is a clutch

Tyrant-Den

yep, this this one, note the very similar looking entrance https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Svalbard_Global_Seed_Vault

potato potato also another potato

It’s a wallet

Sereena Sanchez

Elijah, sweetie, if looks like a purse, acts like a purse and parades as a purse, than it’s a PURSE! Sorry. 🤣

Liam Gradwell

also just gonna leave this here.... https://www.boxlunch.com/product/loungefly-disney-a-goofy-movie-max-roxanne-split-heart-small-zip-wallet---boxlunch-exclusive/33031371.html

Alex

so um according to the fashion experts "A wallet can be broadly defined as a small case or a flat pouch that can be used to carry around items such as bank cards, cash, receipts, and slips." vs "A purse, on the other hand, is much larger. It can be adequately defined as a bag that is used to store not just cards and cash, but everyday items such as accessories, jewelry, pins, tissues, and hairbrushes etcetera." "A wallet is quite smaller as compared to a purse. The former is kept inside pockets while the latter is carried slung on the shoulder. This alone should give an idea of how widely the sizes vary." so there's that...👀😂

Alex

YES THIS!

Alex

It's a wallet.

Animegirl

Don't get too attached to the idea of their father coming up - it is never once mentioned. It's an intentional omission. Any time fans ask about him, the creators just say that Donald is the only dad that really counts.

Annabella

Say what you will about Launchpad's record with crashing... but I had to be in a crash, I would want Launchpad at the yokes... if nothing else, his crashes are remarkably walk away from-able.

Porpoise Power

That’s quite the Purllet

Tales98

I would say it's a handclutch

Jessica V

Yeah, that’s too big to be a wallet. Gotta be a purse! Also, like someone already mentioned, the vault in the show is actually based on a real life seed vault in Norway! “The Seed Vault provides long-term storage for duplicates of seeds from around the world, conserved in gene banks. This provides security of the world's food supply against the loss of seeds in genebanks due to mismanagement, accident, equipment failures, funding cuts, war, sabotage, disease, and natural disasters”

Sundeers

Uh, speaking of a certain sentient orange, he did make a cameo in the ducktales comics if I recall

Omegasigma

That's a clutch.

Brett Bean

Well your girl will love the episode Quack Pack! then for no reason

Jeal Tar

Definitely seems like a Clutch which is a mini purse

Elias Cristerna

It appears to be some form of mini-purse.

TheMadDragon

Notice how Dewey isn't just singing with Della, but actually taking the harmony part while Della takes the melody. It's a nice way to highlight their dynamic: everything we've seen of Dewey previously would suggest his sense of showmanship and general ego would make him want to do the melody, and in the context of two people in private singing along to their own music, it would be entirely reasonable to expect both of them to take the melody, but Dewey's yielding that to Della. It also means either he already knows the song, which, given the context of everything else, you'd generally assume Della picked, well enough to sing the harmony part, or he's a good enough musician to improvise a harmony part. I'm inclined to go with the former- he clearly is a decently skilled singer, but as a musician myself, he doesn't really seem like he would have developed that sort of improvisational skill at this point. I wouldn't describe it as a wallet, but I don't think it really qualifies as a purse either. It's somewhere between the two. Many of David Tennant's roles have him significantly turn down his Scottish accent or even drop it altogether like in Doctor Who, so here, where he has a role that specifically calls for him to be as Scottish as possible while still being intelligible to American children, he takes full advantage of it. There is in fact such a facility in real life, the Svalbard Global Seed Vault. The design of the Doomsday Vault's entrance is based on the actual vault. Dewey and Della are both trying to live up to what they assume are each others' expectations of them, and causing problems for themselves in the process. Whatever preparation Della did for having kids would have been focused on caring for infants, not the substantially older kids she now has, and she hasn't been able to adjust to dealing with older children as the children themselves age because she hasn't been there. Additionally, her perspective on what children can or should be able to do is wildly skewed from spending her own childhood adventuring with Scrooge, and she knows her kids have been going adventuring, but not the details of what they've done and what they're capable of. She's not used to having to account for other people's limits- before the Spear, she was either on a team of equals with Scrooge and Donald as adults or she WAS the inexperienced kid and limiting factor, and on the moon she was completely alone. She doesn't really know what Dewey's capable of, she's not used to having to think about it, and she's desperate to get him to like her after her absence and afraid of offending him by being too restrictive. Dewey has built up this image of Della as an almost mythical hero (the same thing that caused his fight with Webby on Ithaquack when he was afraid of finding out she wouldn't live up to his idea of her) and he's desperate for her approval. I mean, he literally says that in so many words while he's crawling through the vents. He's heard the stories of her as a daring adventurer, and he's afraid of disappointing her by not matching up. And, of course, Dewey's also spent enough time adventuring that he doesn't think of this as being particularly dangerous. He's not really considering how much harder his previous adventures would have been without Scrooge and Donald's experience or Huey and Louie's caution. It's the same sort of normalization of risk that got Della stranded in the first place.

"How did you even build your company?" I get the impression Glomgold's gotten worse over the years, with his endless failures against Scrooge increasingly driving him...Glomgold. It has a handle...it's a purse. ;) "And what a great idea for a bunker" https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Svalbard_Global_Seed_Vault It even looks like the one in the show...or vice versa, actually.

David Johnson

the wallet purse thing was adorable and funny at the same time

John Bossert

Glomgold could only dream of having the competency that Jessie, James and Meowth possessed.

Alex

The Doomsday Vault is a real thing, the Svalbard Global Seed Vault in Norway

JHB

that is a purse shaped wallet

largo778 .

"Hyper-intelligent hairless apes", does he mean humans? WAIT... did the apocalypse already happen?

Rob Bob

Now the Discord post for a couple days back makes all the more sense.

Alex Koder

Come on now...it's a "clutch"...which is a type of purse!

Jason Beane

I still think it’s a wallet lol. A big one, but yeah

Annieme

sooooo... Mosco/Elijah Ducktales Theme Cover Duet when?

largo778 .

Purse vs Wallet: for that thing, I can see both angles, but wallets usually fit in pockets.

JHB

I say it’s a large wallet with a tiny wrist strap.

Alex

That wallet is so big it might as well be a purse.

Sergio Bolden

In the flashback episode with Agent 22, von Drake was the head of the organization, a combo of "M" and "Q" from the James Bond movies.

JHB

I would say it’s a wallet it’s a big wallet but still a wallet

Chris Dryden

Wasn't expecting this today
