2024-12-10 20:49:25 +0000 UTCOne of my favorite things about the Jayce and viktor arc is that they inverted the lighting. Viktor is cast as lighter, white and colorful but he’s so blinded by this light he can’t see the harm in his actions, while Jayce is cast in darkness. Darker features, outfits, actions, but he’s darkened because he’s seen the demise of the world if he fails to stop Viktor, and the only way to do that in his mind is to hurt/kill the friend who once saved his life. A line he said to his mother last season “I’m afraid I have to do something I never thought I would.”

Being buried upright might be ensuring he’s ready for battle in the afterlife or symbolize that he died fighting. Maybe both. And by the look on Ambessa’s face, she definitely cared for Riktus in some way.

2024-11-28 00:33:01 +0000 UTCDunno how true it is, but I've read stuff about how the, uh, cupcake eating scene was originally a lot longer, but Riot made them tone it down so that the franchise could maintain its "family-friendly" reputation. (Personally I'd say it's a bit late for that, considering some of the other things we've seen in the show, but what can you do.)

When Jayce negotiates with Silco at the end of season one, they meet at a fortification overlooking the sea. It would be a good parallel for the sea to symbolize an external threat that the two cities must unite to face.

Not because it's a cell but because they're in the middle of complete chaos and thus is the wrong time of it but that's what their relationship is. They got together during the worse time ever fir both of them in middle of the chaos of world ending (metaphorical it changed the world) stuff. Of course their first time isn't in a bed room taking a break from it all.

2024-11-26 18:41:38 +0000 UTCOn a more serious note: I appreciate that Cait owns up to her mistakes too, when she said “...OUR mistakes.” I think it was very important for her to hear something like an apology or explanation from Jinx for killing her mother, some kind of acknowledgment of what she has done and owning up to it. I think that was the final straw that made her let go of her vengeance (you can see how the camera zoomed in on Caits ear when Jinx apologized -> the message got through 🙂). And it was so moving that Jinx gives her blessing for Vi being happy with Cait...😢
