I'd say you're both right. Caitlyn was already questioning Ambessas moves and hearing "cupcake" (see her eyes widening, this one word cut through all her defenses) plus Vi trying to save her dad pushed her over the edge and she switched sides...🙂

I was so unprepared for that. Even though we all knew. Deep down, we all KNEW this would happen, it still fucking hurts. What the hell is gonna happen in Act 3?! 😭💔💙

Isha's sacrifice broke me in more ways than I thought possible. The saddest part is since she never spoke, Jinx won't even be able to hold onto her as a voice in her head.

Its been several days and I've still not emotionally recovered from this episode, and am genuinely terrified of what the final three will bring us.

I gotnthe feeling that Maddie will be happier that Vi is back and the situation with the general might be over than disappointed that things are over between her and caitlyn.

I'm gonna say it, I don't think we've seen the last of Viktor or Warwick. Unless and until we get confirmation in-show, I'm running on the assumption that anybody who's a champion in League of Legends has plot armor enough to survive the series that's been billed as a backstory to the game. (Everyone else is fair game, though, so Isha's fate is definitely up in the air...)

I know it's fun to see this as a useless lesbian thing for Caitlyn but I do think the fact that it's Vander means a lot. Caitlyn went dark because she lost a patent. She knows that both vi and jinx life were changed multiple times because they lost their parents. I'm sure that played a major role here

The scene between Cait and Vi when Vi is in cuffs is so intense lmao. Instead of wiping the spit away she wipes it TOWARDS her mouth skskskssk. Cait we know what you are (a freak). Real talk though Isha's scene was so sad I'm so heartbroken that they did that to us. Jinx's eyes flashing between pink and blue in the montage hurt so bad. I really hope that her and Vi's relationship will still be ok in the end. I just want these sisters to have a sweet ending so bad ;-;

"What happens now ?" - Now I make the french tradition live on by rioting in front of Fortiche studios, because how dare they take away Vander AND Isha

As to why Cait joined Vi, I think there are several reasons. First is that she had already started to doubt Ambessa, we've seen it very evidently in E4, then more subtly in ep5 when she sees that Ambessa freed Singed - even if she was ok with it in the end bc it gave her info about the Stillwater attack, Ambessa did it behind her back, and perhaps she then had the intuition that Ambessa was following her own agenda. Seeing Vi, from whom she tried really hard to distract herself, is a second reason. But ultimately, I think the finale straw was Vi trying to save her dad. Cait lost her mom, and the prospect of Vi living through the same pain again now that she understands it is not acceptable for her. All things considered, she'd rather save a family than avenge one (setting, I hope, a redemption/healing arc for her in the finale Act)

I think the thing with Cait, is that at the end of the day, she wanted revenge, but needed justice. she wants to do good, she doesn't want to be a dictator, but it will get her her revenge so it was a necessary evil. But she's not okay with hurting people, especially not Vi who she already hurt. If she can do the right thing and help vi, it's a bonus

Mel wasn't hallucinating her brother last ep. It was a shapeshifter/illusion sort of thing. The most concrete proof is that he gave her information that she did not already possess, that tidbit about her mother falling in love and the resulting child.
