Helluva Boss s2 ep10 GhostF**kers

Comments

Actual Scooby-Doo gag: "Traps Illustrated" is a magazine with bikini-clad women setting snares and bear-traps on the cover. When Daphne discovers an issue, Fred claims he reads it for the articles.

Why is everyone treating millie as stupid as if millie was going to fall for rolandos bs, give millie the credit she derserves! The episode was amazing especially the animation and blitzø opening up and admitting his feelings and finally someone apologising to him and telling him that he is a force for good, that he is valued and that she wants to help him and was just cobfused bc he always seems so unbothered!

Dieter Hornach

"You fuck ONE ghost...!"

Possessed Blitz also reminded me of possessed Catra.

The ringing phone is - I think - a nod to the now gone video game "P.T.", which was supposed to be a teaser to the unreleased "Silent Hills." It's been referenced in other videos/games since.

i wouldn't rule it out being "very Scooby Doo"......we rarely saw what Fred and Daphne did when the group split up, it was mostly what Shaggy and Scooby were up to

Vegvisir92

Was that go go power rangers?

Fishy

also to the work thing, been there Mosco, I get it

Omegasigma

as Moxxi's VA said on a yt podcast "effers" cause he couldn't drop the F bomb that early, lol

Dr. Crusher: "Oh my god, that was ONE time!"

me just quietly singing the very dirty ending song at work all day.... *also, i love john waters*

potato potato also another potato

I love that Luna was actually paying attention and watching over mox. Yeah she corrected his mistake and sent him spiralling buuut that means she truly was watching him and not just ‘neglectfully’ watching him :3

I just noticed that Blitzø's Bethany disguise is similar to his mom's dress. And he's wearing her skull brooch too. That's so sweet and heartbreaking at the same time.

NGL, with that title I have expected this to be a Star Trek: TNG crossover...

Dafydd Mac an Leigh

I didn’t want to like the outro song, but I love it way too much

Scott

Yeah I laughed way too hard at the Jesus joke 🤦‍♂️

Scott

Ok it’s not just me. I was wondering the same thing.

Scott

Yeah, that seems like a fair reaction for going into bankruptcy

Scott

I predict that Stolas will prove his innocence by pole dancing. Also, don't you EVER disrespect my girl Loona like that again. And let me tell you something. No one and I mean NO ONE is obligated to do SHIT for you.💅

Finally, about where I think the story is going, and especially Stolitz. From what we've seen in the trailer, my guess is that Stolas is going to be accused of illegaly lending his grimoire to Blitz, judged guilty in the trial scene from the trailer and disowned from his titles and probably powers too. Andrealphus and Stella, who would be behind the trial, will then try to kill Stolas (or just forcefully kick him out of his house), then they will tell Octavia that Stolas willingly abandonned her and everything else to live his romance with Blitz, and this allegation will be believable for Octavia because Stolas did tend to be neglectful with her. Stolas will try to come back for her but she will reject him (hence the line from the trailer "You've never loved mother and you don't love me, you love him"). Then either Stolas will crash at Blitz's place at the end of S2, or, less likely for me, will be provided an housing option by Vassago (the parrot Goetia who seemed concerned for him in the trailer). From what we've seen in Oops, Stolas is a fast reader and kwoledgeable in law and contracts; in Full Moon and Ghostfuckers, we see IMP struggling with tons of paperwork, so he could become IMP's secretary or lawyer. Stolas will FINALLY see what Blitz's, and more generally lower class' s living conditions are, how belittling he's been to him and apologize; he will also realize that it's Blitz, and not the romcom, that he wants. Blitz, who has started a healing journey, will sit with his feelings for Stolas and will eventually reach out to him and state his feelings for him (please that would be big character dvpt), happy ending (just kidding they will continue to be a mess afterwards)

omg the supernatural reference was amazing! didnt know you liked that show!

Also, the Millie character focus is more than welcome. I hope it won't stop there, because this episode still depicts her mostly as Blitz's friend and support, but her having meaningful interactions with a character other than Moxxie in the main episodes (and not just shorts) was a breath of fresh air. I agree that the back story with Blitz gives a new sense to why she's always been so supportive of Blitz, and why she's always trying to be the cheerful optimistic in the company : it was life changing for her. Again, repeating myself, but having the racism and classism component be not only a lore thing but a part of the character's psyche and journey is amazing. The difference between younger Millie and current Millie is amazing to that extent : even if she looked GORGEOUS in the past, you can see the eye bags, the unhappy and weary attitude; whereas current Millie who believes she can beat up the societal allegations is smiling, has her eyes wide open and no eye bags. Finally, her little talk with Loona was also great to that regard : she's mostly had a shitty behaviour to her before (always calling her "Blitz's hellhound" and never by her name), yet when she sees how precarious the situation is, she softens and it reaches Loona. So it still was a big step for her character, and I hope it keeps going in that direction in the future

This episode may just be my favorite of the entire show so far. Helluva Boss has always managed to mix an over the top humour, gut wrenching and horrific scenes, heart warming talks and character development, and this episode has done all of that so brilliantly with so many layers. Blitz has always been an amazingly complex character, and yet this episode fleshes him out even more. It's so interesting to compare his visions and how Millie views him. His hallucinations are so loathed with a sense of guilt, both with his mom (this scene had me sobbing, Brandon's VA this ep I swear) but also with Millie : all the versions of Millie that confront him represent what could have happened to Millie in previous episodes if their missions had went wrong : the one shot in the eye is from Murder family (if she got shot by Martha in the woods), the one burnt with the suit is from LooLooLand (if the fire provoked by the fight between Blitz and robot Fizz had killed her), the melted pink one is from Spring Broken (if she had got eaten by the big fish), and the one with the spears is from CHERUB (if she had got shot by angelic weapon). He feels guilty for things that didn't even happen, because he's conviced that his love is an inevitable death sentence for the ones he loves. On the other hand, Millie is probably the first person to clearly picture Blitz in a positive light : someone who fights tooth and nail against a racist/ classist society (and I'm glad this episode adresses that through Millie's comment, "imps don't work for themselves", or when Blitz describes all the hardships he had to go through to buy the office), who inspires people to share his dream and act for it. Apology Tour was Blitz owning up to his mistakes and wanting to change, Ghostfuckers was the reminder that he's loved and the good he brought in people's lives

14:12 Oh, Hi Spirou, I see you are doing well

I love that Mosco’s reaction to “I Wanna Fuck A Ghost” wasn’t on Erika Henningsen’s voice on the singer. It was her saying “Isn’t that how Jesus was born?” 🤣 “I’m not even sorry for that.”. Good Mosco. Never apologies for a good joke. 🌈👏

Just curious, how come you never posted the Chupacabra short on Patreon? Did it get lost or something? I'd love to see the full version.

Moxxie handles financial difficulties exactly like me :|

So that's how Blitz and Millie met... I always liked the headcanon that she was the babysitter he alluded to when he and Moxie met in prison. The end credits song had me laughing my ass off. 10/10, would listen to the full soundtrack. Obviously, the series is going to culminate with Blitz doing the unthinkable: going to therapy.
