Ducktales s1 ep18 Full, Early, Uncut

Yea just a heads up for you, basically ALL the 80/90s Disney shows end up getting referenced in this, even gargoyles!

Alan Munro

OK, you twisted my arm. Scrooge is definitely NOT her grandfather... You see, she's actually a twisted MCDuck clone created by Glomgold, though lost by way of his idiocy and found by Webby's parents, who had to leave her in her granny's care.

LightSpyre

Don Carnage actually knows Della is the most painful part of this. Duey could have learned everything right here.

Flamboyant good-hearted sea captain: Seahawk V Flamboyant evil-hearted sky captain: Hawksea

One thing I really love about this episode is how it uses cartoon rules to its advantage; the characters where the same thing, so when Dewey has a hat on, we the audience are intrigued and want to know about more about this hat. It’s simple but clever and played really well into the story.

Emma Aird

That's fair enough just wanted to make sure I wouldn't be wasting time suggesting it.

A C PARNELL

this better be true

Mosco Moon

It's really unlikely for me, sorry! Audiobooks are far too long and I doubt it will bring in any real views for the amount of work it would take

Mosco Moon

Already seen it, wasn't my cuppa :(

Mosco Moon

I feel the next episode is a bit more than filler...

Kris Grimsley

Oh, you have to watch Our Flag Means Death...

William Timmins

I... don't like this Don Karnage... I don't mind they made him a troubadour but, he's not nearly vicious enough... plus it's really, really, really hard to do better than Jim Cummings

Porpoise Power

I'm glad Glomgold was still trying to get revenge, because he always forgets that Scrooge isn't there anymore. The third time he came in, only to leave when everyone yelled at him - priceless!

Haldon Lindstrom

Fun Fact: Don Karnage is a dhole, a type of wild canine from India and Southeast Asia. He's also a crossover character, from Talespin: a 90's Disney show that asks "what if the animals from the Jungle Book had a human like society and Baloo was a cargo plane pilot?" And Don Karnage was the show's the main antagonist. Back then though, he and the crew of his air carrier, the Iron Vulture, were a lot less musical, and much more murder-y, like actual pirates. Don was actually a competent, real threat to all cargo planes. His last name is a play on "carnage" for a reason.

Dan_Gaming_Fan

2:14 good theory, but she already defeat Peghook the ghost pirate, we saw him in the first episode remember? So, I don't know if it holds water. But maybe, you'll have to see.

Dan_Gaming_Fan

I think this is a whole reference to the Disney show TaleSpin

Omegasigma

yeah it's fun but I recall feeling like it was a VERY filler episode as we were ramping up to the season finale. And...I don't remember the next episode at all, so that's...probably filler too? Dunno...

potato potato also another potato

ah, don karnage, the first person jet thought how to fly. and one of his greatest students along with [redacted]. of course, unlike [redacted], don ended up being a disappointment to jet but hey, at least it didn't led to a tragedy like the former.

Blaze

Funny. This is actually one my least favorite episodes in season 1 because despite loving Talespin back in the day, Dewey was a little much for me in it. But you've given me a new appreciation for it! I always feel a little bad following along with something that I really love but the person I'm watching isn't feeling it, but this opposite feeling? Love it! Yes, convince me to love more things! I'm here for it! Thanks for sharing so much! I really needed a little pick-me-up today!

Reym

Webby is actually Scrooge's mother

Corey Peters

While there is an air of Seahawk about him, that's always been Karnarge's outfit and colors.

David Johnson

Don Karnage is a character from the 1990 Disney show "Talespin," which was already referenced in the very first episode when the triplets were planning on taking the boat to Cape Suzette, which was the main city in the show. "Talespin" was basically a cross between "Jungle Book" and an 80's show (set in the 30s) called "Tales of the Gold Monkey."

David Johnson

Scrooge only has himself to blame for that one. Still suprised that Launchpad becomes a pilot instructor in his old age. And the identity of whom is running McDuck Enterprises.

Since there is no chat page I will put this here sorry if it annoys anyone: Hello, just asking if it will be at all possible to suggest audio books or have you read books aloud instead of a show reaction. Planning to send this to you, Elijah (not so average fangirl) and maybe Morgan Terry as two of you seemed to like Good omens and I would love to see the reaction to other Terry Pratchett works. But testing the waters with this asking if in principle a book could become a channel feature or if it is impossible.

A C PARNELL

Man, Mosco's not gonna take it well when we have the flash-forward episode to the future and it's revealed that Webby grew up to marry Doofus and the triplets are all greedy, soulless executives.

Rachel Espiritu

Don Karnage is from Talespin. Another show from the Disney Afternoon of the 80s/90s.

Alex Koder

Ok you got us. Webby is actually Scrooge. Webby is from the Third Age when The Wheel spun Scrooge's spirit back out. Unfortunately due to Magica using Balefire the Pattern was erased all the way back to the Second Age. We don't fully understand why. Beakley just keeps says "The Wheel Weaves as the Wheel wills".

Alex Koder

Huh, I thought the one featuring the return of Mark Beaks was next. My mistake.
