2024-07-09 22:20:03 +0000 UTCyes, it hurts me that he got so much flak for his decision. after "second coming" he couldnt turn back because he believes he can hinder that plan from the inside. but crowley is right and az still has to learn......my heart breaks for both of them.

2024-07-09 22:18:27 +0000 UTCif you rewatch you can see that beelzebub actually looks and sound worried sometimes because they dont know where gabriel is. when they talked to crowley they almost sounded desperate and thats why they offered him "everything your little nasty heart desired" if he could get info on gabriel.

And Aziraphele is quiet intelligent but very booksmart, where Crowley is the streetsmarts and has quick thinking in a crisis.

2024-07-09 21:17:38 +0000 UTCaz is full of religious trauma.......and i think he was still close to running back to Crowley but when the second coming was mentioned he knew he had to go to try to prevent it from inside. heaven or more likely metatron is so afraid of what crowley and az are capable of doing together (one half a miracle from each resulting in a 25 lazari miracle only the highest archangels could produce) that he needed to split them up........we havent seen the full conversation between az and metatron, just what az told Crowley and during the confession he looked confused but also scared, glancing at the window as if he knew they were being watched. metatron knew crowley wouldnt accept the offer and az isnt at the point where he understands why crowley doesnt want to. doesnt mean the scene didnt break my heart. no nightingales......the dagger in my heart.

2024-07-09 10:02:47 +0000 UTCThe thing with the books was actually a clue for the fans, after the second season premiered, the Good Omens Twitter account began to post images with the playlists of some characters and when listening to the songs you had to organize the first letter of the first word in each one to reveal a hidden message, for example: Muriel's was "Hello Hello Hello" and Beelzebub and Gabriel's was "Together"

When everything is tied up all neat and tidy and you realize there's still 15 minutes left... Did you notice? Azi smiles at the end of the credits. A mischievous grin, some would call it... I've seen a couple of theories that there was some sleight of hand going on during their breakup. It will be interesting to see what the payoff is in season three.

But we didn't know which episode it was going to be in and the context behind it. So it was still devastating for everyone even the ones that were spoiled. And now we wait til season 3.

In his defense, though, on the matter of protection in the bookshop, Neil has stated he doesn't keep holy water in the bookshop because it could hurt Crowley. ♥ Also, I've seen several reactors miss who the Metatron was in the coffeeshop scene, so you are definitely not alone there and actually picked up on it faster than some. lol

Gaiman stated on Tumblr that Azi thought "do it again" at that moment. You're welcome :)

2024-07-08 18:28:33 +0000 UTCAbout what I'd advise you to pay closer attention to if you feel like rewatching season 2 again, it'd be 1) Aziraphale and Crowley's miscommunication and psychology this season, which I think explains a lot how the finale unfolded. When I first watched it, I was so angry with Azi, I just couldn't understand his perspective. But then when I rewatched, I realized that this was just the conclusion of an entire season of miscommunication : - Crowley didn't tell Azi that Shax kicked him out of his apartment and was living in his car, when he could just have asked Azi to shelter him - Crowley didn't tell Azi about the whole "book of life" threat - Crowley didn't tell Azi what he witnessed when he went to Heaven with Muriel, so Azi isn't aware that a second Armagedon is on the way - Azi didn't tell Crowley that Shax popped in his car while he was driving to Scotland - Azi was too in his head to listen to Crowley's warnings in the ball They're so used to having to hide their bond, have been for 6 000 years, so even if they're on "their own side" at the end of s1, some habits are hard to kill, and while keeping secrets to protect each other, they eventually end up not being on the same page at all because of it. They keep doing that because they still feel like being together is a threat to them both, and they think about two different solutions. Crowley, just like in s1, is willing to abandon Earth to go off together. Azi, just like in s1, can't let go of Earth and tries to conciliate both. So when the Metatron offers him to restore Crowley as an angel, he thinks that this is the perfect solution for them to be safe, bc if they are on the "same side", then what would threaten them ? 2) the finale in itself : Morgan pointed in out in their reaction, but Azi keeps looking at the window for the entire finale, because he knows the Metatron is watching. Now, I don't believe this is the entire reason Azi reacted the way he did : he truly believes that he and Crowley can't be safe if not on the same side and naively believes he can make a difference. But it's clear that he's very weary throughout the entire convo

2024-07-08 16:03:55 +0000 UTCThe scream I scrumpt when I saw this pop up. I didn’t know what day this episode was going to come out and I was not prepared 😂. This is a lot shorter than Morgan’s 2 and a half hour reaction I’ll give you that! The fly actually was very prevalent during the series. Most episodes the fly was seen or heard buzzing around. Don’t stress though I didn’t notice it either. Morgan drove themselves bonkers because they did notice and they ran around in circles trying to piece it together 😂😂
