I also think Season 4 could possibly be a contributor. Don't get me wrong, I absolutely love this show because for ME I am REALLY into fantasy/old medieval times, not really into sci-fi myself, but s4 was not really... great. It definitely picks up after that with s5 and 6, but I think a lot of people dropped it when s4 was the only new season out as well as the hiatus between s4 and 5.

Lately I like fantasy stories with more modern vibes (like The Owl House) and She-Ra has sci-fi and aliens among the fantasy stuff (which was also a thing in the og show.) For some reason, the characters and the world of Dragon Prince just aren't very engaging to me when compared to the other two shows. But it's definitely not bad! I guess another differentiating thing with Dragon Prince is that it has a bit slow pace. Like the beginning act of the story (the king is assassinated when the elves attack the castle and the protagonists find out and start their mission with the egg) takes 3 episodes. It makes sense for the story, but I also feel like it could be a little faster in places.

I mean it's always awesome to see Aunt Amaya but she gets in a quick fights, kills some dudes, then has that encounter with the sun elf with the magic sword. And we never see that elf again! It's honestly a bigger plothole than the whatever's up with the bird/king stuff.

The show itself is great and as a sixth season is about to come out, it seems to have found its audience, which I’d assume to have a big overlap with your subscribers given the other shows you’ve reacted to, particularly She-Ra and The Owl House. ETA: It’s really interesting. All three shows are animated fantasy kids shows (TV-Y7); She-Ra and TDP even came out at basically the same time on Netflix. TDP has more ratings on IMDb than the other two, which is the only metric for audience size I could think of. (It’s rated lower than The Owl House but higher than She-Ra.) One possible explanation, given that it’s also doing poorly on Elijah’s channel, might be that TDP is not as well known for queer representation, which is fair since we haven’t seen much (any?) yet.

2024-06-29 17:37:30 +0000 UTCI'm thinking that when Claudia and Sorren climed the mountain, the spider attacked and either Sorren swung his sword and went through the illusion or Claudia cast a spell and it did the same and they were able to figure out that they were illusions. If there's something that had to be cut from the episode for time, that was probably the scene that was cut.

I mean, uh, no, Rayla is completely heterosexual and won't have an enemies to lovers arc with her nemesis, who is definitely not Calum's secret twin sister. No ma'am. But it is sweet when girlfriends try to learn each other's native languages. Of course, someone with discretionary income and a mischievous streak could pop over to the Trevor Live stream for a little dare... make Mosco say "tres tristes tigres tragaron trigo en un trigal" and make Elijah say... I don't know any Scottish tongue twisters.
