2024-06-06 22:40:35 +0000 UTCYou know, my initial response to season 4 was not as negative as many other people's, but I think watching Mosco's reaction to this episode helped me understand better why a lot of people hate it (season 4, that is, not this episode). Several of the important plot threads in season 4 are set up in this episode, but here they're handled in a way that feels much truer to the characters than what we see later on.

2024-06-05 04:25:48 +0000 UTC-uuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuck! Season three ended on a high note and had an amazing setup for season four. I know you're not reacting to season four, but I would be interested to see what you think of it. I feel like I know what the writers were trying to do, but they could have done it better. One positive thing I can say about season four is it's not as bad as Velma, and has an important lesson about water based lube.

2024-06-05 03:05:01 +0000 UTCI also like Joker’s character arc in this season… which is why I’m really upset that season 4 completely ruins it. Honestly, this is a pretty good place to stop the show. Harley is happy being a good guy, Ivy is happy being a bad guy, and most importantly, they’re both still happy together. Joker is being a good mayor, Batman is getting the help he needs, All of the characters end in pretty good places here (except for Clayface, but who cares?) I am curious to see if season 5 picks it up again, but if not, we’ll at least have this as a good finale along with the Valentines special.

It certainly has its...issues but it's better than a significant amount of the shows/movies that have been crapped out onto various platforms over the last little while and the season ends on an interesting, trending back in the right direction note.

Hopefully enough time passes that most of what you've seen will seem new to you again. And trust me, it's worth seeing the whole thing. Honestly, one of the show's best episodes.
