In retaliation ‐ the Assassin Elves come to kill the King and the prince. Tit for tat. Two bindings (as Rayla says in episode two 'You don't have to die . . . There are only two targets tonight . . . I'm here for the King, and I'm also here for his son, Prince Ezran.' Probably why a lot of soldiers and such where not killed ‐ they were not targets. When the King was killed (or at least his body as you and many others have speculated) his binding was released from all the assassins. The other remains because Prince Ezran still lives.

2024-05-22 19:51:23 +0000 UTCoh! missed that somehow, that gives her potential claim to the throne much more credence, she's not some random high level knight being offered the role, she's a member of the royal family as the former queen's sibling. As a military leader it still sort of made sense why he'd offer it to her (as a bluff I assume) but that makes way more sense.

We DO know who the second target was and that second target is very much alive. So...mosco, go rewatch the first episode, the act needed to remove the second band should become very obvious very quickly.

2024-05-19 12:22:05 +0000 UTCThere are sites that give you translations for Amaya's untranslated scenes, and I think later episodes include subtitles as an option. But I'd recommend have Elijah send you the translations via Discord prior to your reactions with the text spoilered. That way you can pull it up during the reaction without the risk of having later moments spoiled. Most of the untranslated scenes are inconsequential, but there's a few that will make your reaction all the better if you know what she's saying as she signs it. Queen Sarai is Amaya's sister, Harrow's wife, and biological mother to Callum and Ezran. You'll get more of that story later. Oh! Just occurred to me that someone posted the official Jelly Tarts recipe in Elijah's server in the recipes channel. If you two are looking for something to do for the channel, maybe making Jelly Tarts together, as you're both reacting to this show.

I'm sorry, older sister, I failed you. Your children were safe and I let them slip away." Scene with Gren: "I have trusted you as my voice, now I trust you as my will. Save the boys." I think it’s really cool how they left out the subtitles to give the experience to others about how much can be missed and the feeling of being left out to those who don’t usually feel that way, those scenes are so heartfelt too and provide some insight into Amaya Also there are little snippets of drawings in the credits that show different scenes that happen before the show that are really cool and provide a little back story on some of the characters and some are just funny drawings I love that you are starting to like Rayla despite the voice, i knew when she started getting the sassiness showing up that you would like it! I can’t wait to watch more!

The ASL is probably a challenge to animate, but since this is 3D animation, they can have an animation library of words or phrases to apply to the hand and arm controls which make it a more streamlined process. They appear to be animating on twos, so they can hold a pose. Heck, they could even use performance capture to record someone signing to populate the library. I found a tumblr post with translations - separated by season so you won't get spoiled about the time Amaya flirts with Rayla's mothers. https://redemptiionss.tumblr.com/post/178419056359/translation-of-amayas-signing-in-the-dragon They hinted at Rayla's hydrophobia in the first? second? episode when she hesitated before crossing the river.
