The universe should get to run its course; until all the hydrogen in all the stars that have been and will ever be is burned away, until every black hole has evaporated, until the half life of iron passes and matter itself decays. Six thousand years is a rounding error at that time scale. The show subverted my expectations yet again - I thought their double miracle to hide Gabriel from all of Heaven and Hell would also hide him from each other. But in hindsight, that is too obvious and slapstick for this show. Enjoy your peanut butter sandwhiches* in Florida! *You will understand what this means soon.

Some fun facts: Shax is played by Miranda Richardson who was Madame Tracy in season 1, Nina is played by Nina Sosanya who was Sister Loquacious in season 1 and Maggie is played by Maggie Service who was Sister Theresa in season 1 (and the writers did name Nina and Maggie after their actresses). Can't wait for the future episodes (especially the 3rd episode though little sad we'll have to wait a little longer for that one).

I love the ineffable husbands so much.

2024-05-02 19:00:49 +0000 UTCFollowing up on that - Crowley does the apology dance but he doesn't actually think he was wrong. He came back solely to protect Azi from getting caught helping Gabriel. But he would never admit to that so he just pretends to have changed his mind.

2024-05-02 18:57:48 +0000 UTCOne thing that I did not catch on my first viewing: Crowley is living in his car. That's why he has his plants in it and is always parked in that same narrow side street. When Shax took over his job, she got his apartment too - hence why she brings him his mail.
