I'm glad Kiteman found happiness after calling off the wedding. I like how we see his more endearing qualities through Ivy and Golden Glider, and that he wasn't resentful towards Ivy or Harley in any way. Instead, he's grateful that being with Ivy and their break up caused him to better himself and find his real love. Sure, he's still a doofus, but he's genuinely trying now. Definitely his best appearance.

They how specialtheir partners are. And it's embarrassing how many assholes and "Nice guy" incels are out there making us look like we can only do the bare minimum. And any guy who thinks they barely have to try absolutely sucks.

Saying that "heroes don't do that." Every woman I've spoken to on the matter has begged to differ. This was the episode that turned me around A BIT on Kiteman. Ivy was clearly with him for some reason. Not exclusively because she was burying her feelings for Harley. But you see through Ivy and Golden Glider that Chuck has some... endearing qualities. They both saw him as not all bad and there were aspects of him that were likable. To that end, I'm happy that he didn't just fuck off and rot after Ivy dumped him. The breakup was good for him! He actually started putting in the effort! Good for him! And yeah, as a guy, will vouch. The bar is reeeeally low for us. It basically boils down to "Don't be shitty". And that's part of where the "nice guy" neckbeard culture comes from. Dudes infuriated that they did the bare minimum and still didn't get laid. It is... SO much more than that, kiddies. If you really think she's special, then treat her special. Bare minimum ain't gonna cut it.

The show runners were going to have him do... something else, but one of the DC executives stepped in and told them "Superheroes don't do that." Thank God. Batman and Catwoman usually are either kinda flirty with each other or have an actual relationship going on in most DC stories, but I definitely wasn't expecting that scene.
