one of my absolute fav. characters........she is amazing......and Aunt Magica who shows up later gets voiced by Catherine Tate.....in case you saw David and her together in Doctor Who.

I don't recall reading anything on why it was changed for the original Ducktales and subsequently here. Also, as the triplets are very much not individuals in the comics, they take in unison basically *all the time*. That, or they finish each others sentences.

Also, I'm pretty sure Lena wanted to break into the party solely because it's dangerous, and therefore fun. Or maybe it's something "Aunt Magica" wanted her to do for some reason.

No offense to the boys, but it's nice for Webby to have another girl as a friend. I personally did not have a cool older kid in my life, but I get the dynamic. And yeah, the non-romantic Elisco comparison might have secured some votes for this show on the Discord. You're close on the age. The wiki lists Lena as 14, but that's a little muddy. One of the creators says she's roughly a year older than Webby, but that would make her 12, and she definitely seems older than that. Still there's evidence later on that she's 15. Up to interpretation I guess? But I'd think 13-14 is most accurate. Yeah, one of the boys falling for Lena immediately was a concern of mine as well. I wouldn't want to deal with another Dipper & Wendy situation. Fortunately, the messy romance tropes are relegated to the adults here. Although, there is a fascinating discourse as relates to one of the kids, but you're a ways out from that episode yet.

2024-04-10 10:43:16 +0000 UTCDisney+ uses an alternate title for this episode, "The Beagle Birthday Breakout!". I'm guessing someone was put off by the whole "Massacre!" thing. IMHO "Breakout!" isn't a bad alternative -- the alliteration helps. Also, like "Woo-oo!" and "Daytrip of Doom!", this is one of the episodes directed by Dana Terrace!
