I think it's fun to discuss the deep themes of Infinity Train and what stories hit people more like this train is taking us on therapy with them. I dunno if I can properly put into words how Tulip's problems seem rather childish and that's kinda the point. Going on the train made her experience the pain of losing someone with Atticus and seeing what happened with Amelia and both of her parents are alive and love her and she has to learn to accept things have changed and they are still in her lives even if it's different now. Book 1 hints at the darkness that comes more into fruition in the later seasons. It's all a matter of opinion. For me, I think with Lake, the existential dread does more for me than a death scene could because are you even alive to begin with? They were viewed as not a person and forced to live as the reflection of another. That's not being alive. Not really. So it feels like a prolonged death scene.

I think it depends on the people, there was almost nothing I could relate to in season 2, so I wasn't emotionally triggered by it. But I could see why it's strong themes of trans, personal idenfitication and other important elements could impact other people. I wouldn't call season 1 "childish" at all, the loss of Atticus was dark in itself, and with Amelia going to commit suicide on the roof of the university, s1 and s3 brought us closer to "death" than s2, which is what I meant when I said that. I find death of a loved one more impactful than my own identitiy as an individual because its something I can relate to more, thats all I meant.

Season 2 was less emotionally damaging? Did we watch the same season 2?? XD Season 2 messed me up emotionally more than any of the seasons. Season 1 feels childish in comparison to the other seasons. Season 3 was the darkest, but that doesn't equal the most emotionally damaging. Season 2 brings me to tears watching it and barely any finale to a season has hit me as hard as it has except like She-Ra season 3 (not counting show finales in general, just season finales). Stories about personhood and individuality like Lake's are some of my favorite types of plots.

C'est interessant as Samantha would say.
