And here is where the "Not a kid's show" counter spiked like no one's business. I still cannot believe Simon straight up pulled a "Long live the king" on Tuba like that. The question now is, how long will Grace be able to protect Hazel, and keep Simon under control. Things are heating up to say the least.

2023-12-01 23:48:02 +0000 UTCThis one hurt. Bad. Grace finally breaking after sympathizing with Hazel's loss, even now knowing that she's a denizen. But that's what the denizens are here for. To help. Grace seeing in Hazel a child who lost her guardian, who needed guidance, protection, and understanding. Everything she needed when she came aboard. I don't think the train or conductor anticipating anything nearly as dire as what occurred, but unfortunately, anything less might not have put Grace on her current track.

So many shows have their child characters either act like little adults (and in animation, have them voiced by adults) or dumb little gremlins. But Hazel is a 100% real portrayal of a very mature six year old who is still very much a child.

There’s something so uniquely disturbing about how Hazel knows and outright says, no dodging around it, that simon would kill her if he knew her secret. And the imagery of this six year old girl forced to live side by side with the man who killed her mother figure… it’s so gut wrenching and I feel so bad for Hazel.

2023-11-29 19:37:45 +0000 UTCMy "local pool" growing up was at the High School in the summer. And the only restriction was paying the fifty cents to get in. Never seen/heard of anything like this color band/clock thing. It's interesting that unlike all the other characters we've seen in IT, Grace never seems to have had a Denizen to hang out with. Even Simon had the Cat! But from what she's said, her only companion has *been* Simon. I think Simon killed Tuba because he was afraid he was starting to like her...and that would screw up with his whole world view.
