2025-04-17 04:31:09 +0000 UTCThe bookending gets me. S1E2: Look, kid, everyone wants to believe they're "chosen". But if we all waited around for a prophecy to make us special, we'd die waiting. And that's why you need to choose yourself. S3E3: Well, you're the one here, and you seem like a good witch. But I can't give you anything unless you choose to accept it. So the question is, will you choose yourself? This show being over truly hurts. I don't think it's hyperbolic to say it's one of the most important pieces of queer media to have been created to date, and I highly doubt we're going to see anything like it anytime soon, not with corporations backing away from open support of the LGBT community. Hell, Marvel's way of "honoring" us for pride month was a celebration of straight allies! I have a small essay written about this, but I'll just share the salient point: Owl House is so important because it portrays something which has probably never existed anywhere else: a glimpse into what a gay relationship would be like if it were completely unafraid of being seen. A world without homophobia and without regard for a homophobic audience. And let's be honest, it's because Amity is the BEST.

YES, there should be time (2-5 years?) to reflect on this brilliant creation by Dana Terrace before something new comes out. STILL, keep those views coming (and purchases of Official Owl House Merch on Hot Topic website), recommendations to YouTube reactors like yourself, and building the fan base so that it DOES return in the future in some fashion. It doesn't have to be Tomorrow, but let the wonderful butterfly 🦋 effect grow 🪴 like a Willow plant so we can see more Owl House reactions on Wee Lass someday.

Phineas & Ferb ended and came back, Scooby-Doo was supposed to "end" 50 years ago & came back a million times; Beavis & Butthead "ended" in 1997 butt has since come back twice AND changed networks, The Flintstones even 60 years later has a new series called "Bedrock" upcoming. IT'S NEVER THE END.
