Solid Week
Added 2017-08-02 12:31:00 +0000 UTCI got back into exercise yesterday and reminded myself why I don't like it...
Is there any exercise you guys do that you find a fun way of keeping fit?

I just go walking around suburban back streets to get exercise, it's hard because I'm on meds that make me lethargic.

2017-08-05 06:16:53 +0000 UTCOn the rare occasions that I do exercise. I prefer to go on long hikes. It's way better than having to go to the gym and smell the hundreds of other people who have been sweating there. Bleach.

2017-08-04 23:48:54 +0000 UTCYou are not alone. Mark Twain once said, "I don't exercise. I could never see any benefit in being tired."

2017-08-02 20:26:43 +0000 UTCI love boxing. Beating the shit out of the heavy punching bag gets your heart rate up and releases some serious stress and endorphins!!!

2017-08-02 20:24:45 +0000 UTCMe, I do martial arts.. I have this wooden log thing that has wooden arms protruding from it and I use it to block, hit, kick on. After 30 min or so, I'm pretty sweaty and a good workout. Here is a vid that will give you an idea - Jackie Chan - https://youtu.be/Gz5Ppw9gnpk

2017-08-02 14:10:08 +0000 UTCminutes. I usually set up/plan 1 circuit & do it twice. By the time I'm done with that & stretching, it's about 1 hour. I'm actually a certified personal trainer. So if a circuit sounds like something of interest, I would gladly send you an example of one customer to you! π

2017-08-02 13:25:55 +0000 UTCYes! For me, its be swimming this summer. Both cardio & resistance. I understand this may not be practical in Scotland though unless you have access to an indoor pool. Hula hooping is a good one, I got a huge, adult hula hoop. What's been helpful for me is thinking back to what I used to do in high school, bc I never worked out, I just had fun. But, since I was active, was in decent shape. I did things like marching band- walks would be a good alternative, dance squad & color guard (flag twirling). When I do workouts, I do some sort of circuit which REALLY helps. I'll lift weights for 1 minute, cardio (jumping, skipping, hopscotch, etc), then do legs. Keep alternating until the end of 45
