19-Gojo

Dashing through the forest at what a normal person could consider insane speeds were Aizen and his squad.

It has been half an hour since they left the campgrounds before the squad captain started talking, informing them of their mission. 

"Alright listen up." said the captain as he jumped from tree to tree with his squad following behind him. 

Although he was speaking in a normal voice and they were running they were Still ninjas with better senses than normal humans so they all heard him. 

"About one hour ago a small squad of the enemy infiltrated our borders and ambushed one of the core squads of our intelligence department that were carrying sensitive information, only one squad member survived and ran back to report the situation but it was already late by then, the enemies have already gotten their hands on the intelligence. "

"But it won't be so easy for them to retreat back to their clan, there is already a blockade in place around where the ambush took place, but there are still some weak areas that the enemy could exploit and escape, and that's where our mission comes in."  he paused and observed them one by one, seeing that they were on the same page he continued. 

"Along with the other squads, we will set a trap at those weak points and stay stationed there until the enemy is caught by another squad or we encounter them ourselves."

"ANY QUESTIONS?" he shouted. 

"NO SIR ." the rest of the squad shouted back. 

'Something is off about all of this.' thought aizen with a frown as he had a bad feeling, his intuition sharpened through many years of experience was screaming at him that something was wrong. 

'how could a small squad of the enemy defeat a core squad of ours, especially one from the intelligence department that's made up of the strongest ninjas and not just that…. .' 

'What are they up to, if I were the enemy what would I do….,' thought aizen as he went through everything the captain just said, suddenly as if hit by a bolt of lightning he opened his eyes wide and 'THAT'S IT, sly bastards.'. 

His action didn't go unnoticed by his squad as they too stopped and looked back at him, some frowned and were annoyed, some were curious and some just observed him seeming not to care. 

One Old man frowned and shouted at him, "HEY KID, WHAT DO YOU THINK YOU ARE DOING, YOU'RE WASTING PRECIOUS TIME." 

"Relax old man, he's still just a kid, he might be scared of the coming battle." Another middle-aged man with blue eyes and black hair which was really common in the Sōsuke clan said as he kindly looked at Aizen, although he was good looking no one would have noticed him if he didn't speak. 

Then he continued saying, "you're Aizen right? Your father was a good friend of mine and I owe him a favour, so how about this you can stay close to me from now on, if you do that then trust me, I guarantee you that no harm will ever come to you." as he said that a dangerous glint flashed by his eyes but no one noticed even aizen. 

As he heard him say his name and speak about his father, Aizen was surprised and looked at him, he seemed to remember seeing him at his home when he was younger, and also remembering his name "Gojo", so he believed what the guy had said but something else attracted his attention.

Although he didn't notice the glint that passed through the man's eyes, there was something else, First was the confidence with which he made that promise, it seemed as if he was stating an indispensable fact and not just to reassure him, as if he didn't even put the enemy in his eyes, as if he was standing at the top of the food chain. 

Others might think it was just arrogance but Aizen could feel it, the man really believed what he was saying. 

Secondly, he was getting a very familiar feeling from the guy, it was as if he was seeing his long-lost friend for a long time. 

'Something is definitely off about that guy, I need to be more careful of him.' thought aizen. 
 
But deciding that it wasn't the right time to think about this he put it to the back of his mind before saying, "No uncle gojo that's not it ." he turned his attention to the captain who was silent all this while as he said that. 

When the captain saw the expression on his face he frowned and approached him asking, "what is it kid?."

Hearing the captain speak, Aizen was surprised as he didn't think that he would take a "kid" like him seriously, 'it seems I was wrong.' 

Nodding aizen said, "sir I think there is something wrong about all of this, first how was the enemy able to get into our lines undetected, and secondly how could a small squad take on a core squad of our intelligence department." 

"It's not that surprising kid, as I said it was a really small squad that's why our sensors failed to detect them as for how they were able to defeat our squad the reason is obvious, they must have had a really strong shinobi in their ran…." said the captain but halfway through his sentence his eyes suddenly went wide and he stopped talking. 

The others still didn't know what was going on and just strangely stared at the captain but they weren't dump, they realized that they might have missed something that the kid had caught up on and now it seems the captain has also caught up. 

The only person who seemed to have also figured out what was going on was the unassuming gojo who was in the middle of the squad, one weird thing is that his eyes looked at the top left of his vision for a second before he smirked, although no one in there noticed. 

"That's right." said Aizen seeing them catching on, "the only explanation to why our squad lost is that there was a really strong enemy present, but if that were the case how could that clan member have escaped." 

Leaving them some time to process what he said realization started to dawn on them, aizen contained, "there are only two possibilities, either that they let him escape on purpose to report back, or, that he is a traitor but either way their goal is clear because they want us to set up a blockade and block them." 

As he finished speaking everyone except the captain and gojo was looking at him with wide eyes and mouth agape, not knowing what to say, the old man from earlier even turned his head to the side from embarrassment. 

The captain now had a serious frown on his face as he contemplated what to do. 

It was dead silent that one could even hear a leaf as it fell down and hit the ground, suddenly the silence was broken by gojo as he went forward and spoke. 

"But now that we know their goal was to expand our forces in setting up a blockade we can try to figure out the reason behind it, is that right?." he said smiling at aizen.

Aizen could only nod as he still couldn't figure out why he was having this odd feeling towards the guy. 

Gojo turned towards the captain and said," Yuki, how about this, you keep going and don't abandon the mission and I'll go back to report to the headquarters, I am the fastest one here so that'll be the best choice." 

Hearing him some were surprised that he called the captain by his name but others who probably knew them didn't have any reaction to it. 

"Tsk, I told you not to call me by my name on missions it's captain for you," said the captain annoyed before agreeing, "but you are right that'll be the right course of action, so that even if the kid is wrong we won't lose anything, but if he's right…" he said but he didn't continue.

"Oh he's right, hahaha," said Gojo, laughing mysteriously as he looked at the kid before making one hand sign and disappearing from there using the body flicker jutsu.

Seeing him disappear the captain just turned around and started running again in their previous direction, the others followed after him, aizen took one last look at where the guy named gojo disappeared before flowing after them.
