How to Bypass Anti-Cheat in 2023

Bypassing Kernel-Level Anti-Cheats

So, how do you go about bypassing anti-cheat mechanisms at the kernel level? The anti-cheat resides in the kernel and tries to protect the game from our user-mode cheats. When we try to read or write the game's memory, the anti-cheat detects it and blocks it. To bypass this, we also need to operate at the kernel level. We create a driver and load it into the kernel, which allows us to bypass the kernel-level anti-cheat.

📜 Video Description:

Bypassing anticheats is getting harder every day. I originally presented this talk at SecurityFest 2023 but I wanted to share it with Guided Hacking so it can be included with the anticheat section of the Game Hacking Bible. It's the perfect conclusion to all the kernel and anticheat content that @Rake created for the GHB.
