Chapter 59: The Gravity Chamber

"Only a little over a thousand?" Xavier furrowed his brow in dissatisfaction. Out of over a million Saiyans, only a thousand believed in their cause?

Rebecca explained, "To avoid drawing King Vegeta's attention, we've limited our outreach. These are people we personally know and trust."

Realization dawned on Xavier; indeed, without a secured evacuation planet, it was risky to openly challenge Frieza's malevolent intentions—such actions could lead to their total annihilation. The chosen Saiyans were mostly comrades who had previously fought alongside Adriel and his team.

"There's another detail; King Vegeta has been reassigning his personnel more frequently of late—a possible signal that we need to hasten our search for a suitable planet."

Adriel, unaware of the exact timing of King Vegeta's potential rebellion, furrowed his brow, sensing that their time was running short.

Xavier, however, was less worried. He knew that Frieza would launch an attack on Planet Vegeta when Vegeta was around five years old, meaning King Vegeta wouldn't rebel in the near future. They still had two and a half years.

...

In the days that followed, Xavier and Celine stayed at home, reinforcing their foundations with basic daily exercises.

During this time, Merus, Adriel’s student, visited their home a few times. Each visit, he barely concealed his disdain for Xavier and his comrades, his young face bearing an air of arrogance.

Yet, Xavier couldn't help but admire Merus's talents. At just over two and a half years old, his power level had already reached 440, surpassing what Xavier's had been when he first left training camp. No wonder the young Saiyan looked down on them.

As the days passed...

One day, news came from a distant pale yellow planet—Planet Phydia’s people had finally completed the construction of the Gravity Chamber.

Upon receiving the message from Planet Phydia, Xavier immediately used Instant Transmission to head to the remote pale yellow planet. After several teleports, he appeared at the temporary base of the Planet Phydia people.

"Dokra, take me to see the Gravity Chamber, how is it?" The door of the control room opened, and a travel-worn Xavier approached Dokra.

"Lord Xavier!"

Dokra was in awe, hardly expecting Xavier to arrive so quickly after receiving the message. He was filled with reverence for Xavier's seemingly magical ability to appear and disappear at will.

Mentioning the gravity chamber, a sense of pride filled Dokra's face; it was the culmination of months of research by the Phydia scientists.

"Lord Xavier, please follow me!" Dokra bowed respectfully before leading the way to the location of the gravity chambers.

The two traversed a long, transparent corridor brimming with a scientific aura, soon arriving in a massive assembly workshop approximately one hundred meters tall.

Within this enormous workshop were seven large, hemispherical gravity training chambers neatly arranged. These chambers were vast, their surfaces emitting a dark golden metallic sheen. Standing nearly as tall as the workshop's ceiling, the seven chambers lined up like towering hills, imposing and formidable.

Dokra, pointing to the seven chambers, couldn't hide his pride. "These seven gravity chambers are one hundred meters in diameter and ninety meters tall. As per your specifications, the internal adjustable gravitational force can reach up to 500 times standard gravity. Additionally, they can adjust to 1,000 standard atmospheric pressures and control temperatures within a plus/minus 80-degree range."

"For convenience during training, the interior of each chamber also includes small spaces for washing, dining, and living. Furthermore, there are 100 miniature robots designed to assist in training, capable of adjusting their speed and attack density to suit the user's needs."

"Hmm, you've done very well; I'm quite satisfied with these chambers!"

Listening to Dokra's detailed introduction, Xavier looked at him appreciatively, his eyes brightening with excitement, eager to step inside and experience it firsthand.

"Thank you for your kind words, Lord Xavier!"

Dokra bowed deeply, his blue skin flushing slightly with excitement.

"You may leave now; I want to test out the gravity chamber myself!"

"At once!" Dokra bowed and respectfully exited the area.

Xavier nodded slightly, and once Dokra had left, he swiftly approached one of the gravity chambers.

Looking up, he observed their impressive size; up close, their monumental scale was even more pronounced. Beside these massive structures, Xavier felt as small as an ant—a stark contrast.

After some thought, Xavier approached the chamber marked with a giant "1." Eight steel columns, each over two meters thick, extended from four sides of the chamber, anchoring it firmly to the ground.

Pressing a button at the entrance, a soft humming sound followed as a circular disk-shaped structure descended from the body of the chamber. Xavier stepped onto the hovering platform, entering the interior of the gravity training chamber.

The interior of the training room was immensely spacious, divided into upper and lower levels. The lower level was smaller, sectioned into areas for washing up, dining, and living.

The upper level was the true training area—a massive space with a diameter of one hundred meters and a height of eighty meters, resembling a colossal arena. The floor was etched with shallow lines like stone slabs, and both the ground and walls were made of a special ultra-strong alloy, capable of withstanding high-density energy blasts.

Xavier approached a control panel and began adjusting the room's settings based on the numeric symbols displayed. He first entered “15” into the gravity section.

As soon as the number was confirmed, the training room buzzed loudly, and a tremendous downward gravitational pull took effect.

“Hmm, indeed, it's 15 times gravity!” After feeling the effects briefly, Xavier nodded in affirmation.

Now, the gravity within the entire training room was 15 times standard gravity, similar to his earlier training under weighted clothing at the Earth's temple.

Xavier then adjusted other parameters like temperature and air pressure. After testing them out, he was very pleased with the performance of the gravity room. In many ways, the gravity room constructed by the people of Planet Phydia had surpassed his original specifications. Although it took several months to build, it was all worth it.

Stepping out of the gravity room, Xavier called over Dokra.

“My lord!”

“Yes, Dokra, I'm quite satisfied with the gravity room your people from Planet Phydia have built. I've summoned you because there's another matter I need to instruct you on!” Xavier praised generously before turning serious.

“Please speak, Lord Xavier!”

Dokra straightened up, leaning forward to listen attentively.

“The current situation in the North Galaxy is dominated by Frieza’s influence, compounded by King Cold and Cooler’s support. The situation is not very favorable for us! So, I need you to use every means at your disposal to find a planet suitable for living.”

“Of course, it should be as far away as possible from the control of Frieza’s family!” Xavier’s expression was stern.

Now was not the time to confront Frieza head-on; he was still far too underpowered and had to avoid a direct clash for the time being.

“Lord Xavier, actually, we, the people of Planet Phydia, have a galaxy-wide star map that we acquired from the Zvelf people in a trade. We might be able to find a suitable planet from it!” Dokra suddenly suggested.

“The Zvelf people, weren’t they already extinct?” Xavier asked in surprise.

The Zvelf people had once lived alongside the Saiyans on Planet Vegeta, but they had been eradicated by the Saiyans long ago.
