Chapter 41: The Terrifying Power of Frieza
Added 2024-04-25 13:50:43 +0000 UTC"There's no mistake, Captain Ginyu's power level is indeed 120,000!" Xavier declared confidently.
In the Namek saga, a member of the Ginyu Force, Jeice, specifically stated that the captain's maximum power level was 120,000! Although that was a matter from over twenty years later, the current power level couldn’t be far off.
Xavier's categorical tone silenced everyone.
Adriel's expression darkened instantly.
If the captain of the Ginyu Force already possessed such terrifying power, then what could the magnitude of Frieza's power be, as their ruler?
The weak serve the strong, and the strong dominate the weak—this is the eternal law of the universe!
It was clear that Frieza's power must surpass that of Captain Ginyu.
None present were fools; they quickly realized this point, and a shiver ran down their spines as cold sweat broke out...
At this moment, they could not bring themselves to ask Xavier about the source of his information. An eerie silence fell over the living room.
After a long quiet moment, Adriel sighed, "Xavier, whatever you know, tell us everything..."
Xavier nodded, sweeping his gaze over everyone present, his voice calm and steady.
"Frieza hails from a very rare species in the universe—the Icejin. The Icejin are few in number; they are encased in ice from birth and only thawed upon reaching maturity. As far as I know, there are only three Icejin in the Northern Galaxy, and they are Frieza and his family, each one powerful enough to dominate the universe."
"Due to the immense power within an Icejin, which is difficult to control, they typically use transformations to suppress their power levels. This is somewhat similar to the Saiyans' Great Ape transformation!"
"However, while Saiyans use the Great Ape transformation to increase their power, the Icejin use transformations to suppress theirs," Xavier shook his head, his tone somewhat wistful.
What a luxurious transformation!
Adriel and the others wore expressions of shock.
In the universe, other life forms strive by all means to increase their power, and their ability to transform is an evolution developed in specific environments. Yet, the Icejin suppress their power because it is too great, a concept that was almost enviable.
Xavier glanced around, taking in everyone's expressions, continuing to speak. He knew that his next words would be a heavy blow to them all. But if he did not reveal the truth, given the pride of the Saiyans, Adriel and the others might not agree to the plan he was about to propose.
"Frieza has three transformation abilities! After each transformation, his power multiplies several times over. In his normal state, Frieza's power level is 530,000!"
"Wait, what did you just say Frieza's power level is in his normal state?" Lizzy asked, visibly shocked.
"I said, in his normal state, Frieza's power level is 530,000!"
A collective gasp filled the hall; both Adriel and Belruk were stunned by the figure Xavier disclosed.
If they felt powerless against Captain Ginyu's power level, Frieza's made them utterly despair.
"530,000 power level in his normal state, and his power multiplies several times with each transformation, and he has three such transformations! Damn, how could such an extraordinary being exist? Doesn't that mean the entire universe is theirs for the taking?" Lizzy exclaimed in dismay.
"Darn it, doesn't this mean the Saiyans don't stand a chance?" Paradis, always quick to anger, was seething, his eyes bulging and veins popping as his bones cracked with the tension.
Belruk's face was set in a grim line, and he said nothing, clearly overwhelmed by the dire situation.
"And that's not even the worst part. Frieza isn't the most formidable among the Icejin! Frieza's father and brother, who rule the eastern and northern parts of the Northern Galaxy—King Cold and Cooler—are the real threats. Next to them, Frieza is like a child, with potential yet to mature."
"He has a father and a brother?" Alice exclaimed.
"Yes, it's said that Frieza's father is indeed King Cold, and he has a brother named Cooler," Adriel, knowledgeable and experienced as he was, had heard such rumors during his time as a team leader.
Xavier nodded, "We won't discuss King Cold for now; let's talk about Frieza's brother Cooler. He has four transformation abilities!"
"That's why I believe King Vegeta's rebellion is doomed to fail! The future of Planet Vegeta looks bleak. Frieza probably hasn't acted yet because he doesn't feel the time is quite right. But once it is, the Saiyans will surely not escape annihilation."
"Ah, what can be done?" Who would have thought that the Saiyans, who once seemed to have a bright future, were now on the brink of extinction. This was difficult for the former members of Adriel's squad to accept.
"So, I believe that King Vegeta's rebellion is doomed to failure! The outlook for Planet Vegeta is grim. Frieza hasn't made his move yet probably because he believes the timing isn't quite right. When the moment comes, the Saiyans will undoubtedly face extinction," Xavier shared his grave analysis.
"Ah, what can be done?" Who could have imagined that the Saiyans, once seeming to have a bright future, are now on the brink of extinction? This was a hard pill for Adriel's old squad to swallow.
"That's why I've been thinking, we need to prepare. We must move a portion of the Saiyan population to safety." After setting the stage with his earlier explanations, Xavier introduced his plan.
The Saiyan race is extraordinary, with a lineage that allows them to grow stronger when faced with stronger opponents and continuously push beyond their physical limits. While not all Saiyans possess such gifts, those who do are incredibly valuable.
It would be a great loss if such a lineage were to be extinguished along with Planet Vegeta in the vastness of space.
Xavier didn't claim to have grand ambitions, but he knew that to survive better in the universe, it was essential to establish his own power base—and the Saiyans were to be his foundation.
"But if Frieza is so powerful, why was he wary of the Saiyans from the start?" Alice asked, puzzled.
"The Frieza clan has always feared the emergence of a golden Super Saiyan among the Saiyans. This indicates that a Super Saiyan has the capability to confront an Icejin head-on. Out of fear, they seek to destroy them!"
"We need to preserve the Saiyan lineage; we can't let it disappear from the universe."
With his intentions laid bare and the situation on Planet Vegeta understood, Xavier had formulated his plan.
He had disclosed everything he knew about Frieza, hoping that under the pressure of such a formidable enemy, Adriel and the others would take his words to heart.
Saiyans are proud, even to the point of being somewhat conceited, but when they know there is no chance of victory, surely they wouldn't be foolish enough to rush to their deaths?
Of course, that doesn't rule out the existence of such individuals.
But these people clearly would not be of use to him, and Xavier did not expect those stubborn ones to join his ranks.
