Chapter 40: Revelations

"What are you all discussing so late at night?" Celine's eyes darted curiously as she ran over to Lize, the female Saiyan, and leaned in close.
Adriel and the others exchanged glances, their expressions troubled. Celine's face furrowed, a thoughtful glint in her eyes.
"Celine, you go back to your room. Xavier, you stay," Adriel instructed.
"Oh." Seeing that she was not to be included, Celine pouted at Xavier and obediently ran off to her room.
With a 'click', the door shut, and the living room fell back into an eerie silence. The group sat around a coffee table, none speaking.
"What’s going on?" Xavier asked with a smile.
Adriel sighed deeply, "Remember you mentioned that Frieza had installed a listening device on our energy detectors? We took the opportunity during the mission to investigate…"
"And?" Xavier asked, maintaining his composure, though his mind was already racing, anticipating the reasons for this urgent meeting.
As expected, Adriel nodded gravely, "We did find listening devices on the energy detectors!"
At this, the Saiyan named Paradis slammed his fist onto the table with a 'thud', leaving a dent in the metal surface.
"If it weren't for Adriel taking us to verify, we wouldn’t have known that that bastard Frieza has been monitoring every move of the Saiyans," Paradis said angrily.
"That just shows he has never had good intentions towards us Saiyans!" Alice added, casting a disdainful look at Paradis, referring to their overlord Frieza.
Adriel continued, "That’s not what worries me the most. Although Frieza is suspicious of us Saiyans, he wouldn’t act hastily. However, if he truly has control over every move we make, then he probably also knows about King Vegeta’s thoughts of rebellion."
"Ah, this is a big problem now," Lize said with a helpless shrug.
With the unsuspecting caught off-guard, it seemed King Vegeta was destined to lose this round.
"Even more disheartening is that aside from the rebellion being orchestrated by King Vegeta's faction, the vast majority of Saiyans trust Frieza deeply, even holding his power in high regard. Even if we were to spread the word now, few would believe us. Moreover, such actions might directly escalate the conflict between the Saiyans and Frieza, leaving us in a predicament with no easy way out." Belruk stated coldly, yet he spoke the harsh reality. Revealing the information outright was definitely not an option, as it could provoke Frieza to act against the Saiyans immediately.
"But if Frieza is so well-informed about the Saiyans' situation, aware even of King Vegeta's plans for rebellion... why hasn't he made a move? Isn't he afraid of the collective power of the Saiyans?" Rebecca asked, puzzled.
Indeed, why does Frieza remain indifferent despite knowing the Saiyans will rebel?
Could it really be that he's waiting for the Saiyans to make their move first? Perhaps to justify his subsequent actions and not demoralize his subordinates in the universe?
No!
Given Frieza's brutal and savage nature, he wouldn't care about the feelings of those he considers insignificant.
Adriel and others shook their heads. They had once seen Frieza from a distance during a mission. His icy, bloodthirsty, indifferent gaze, like a sharp blade piercing their souls, left a profoundly deep impression. Frieza was undeniably a mad and cruel individual.
"Perhaps, his supreme power makes him fearless," Alice suggested earnestly, leaning against the wall.
"Because of the Ginyu Force?"
Everyone thought of Frieza's most formidable support, the Ginyu Force. Their strength was indisputable, surpassing the Saiyans and renowned across the universe.
"Do any of you know exactly how powerful Frieza is?" Xavier suddenly asked lightly.
Everyone paused, aware of Frieza's strength, enough to be called the Emperor of the Universe. But how strong, exactly, remained unclear, as no one had ever witnessed Frieza in action—or rather, those who had, were no longer alive.
Just how formidable is Frieza?
This was the looming shadow over everyone's heads. Without a clear understanding of their adversary's power, resistance seemed futile.
"Xavier, do you know something?" Adriel looked his way, intuition telling him Xavier might have some insights, especially since he was the first to suggest the surveillance bugs, giving him almost complete certainty.
"Yes, I do have some understanding of Frieza's power, and I assure you, it's far beyond anything you can imagine. But before that, Uncle Adriel, I have a question for you. How much do you know about Frieza's elite squad—the Ginyu Force?" Xavier queried.
Adriel shook his head, "I've never seen the full extent of the Ginyu Force's power, but I've heard that even the weakest member boasts a power level of at least 10,000."
The Ginyu Force, selected from the elite warriors of the universe by Frieza himself, consists of super soldiers, each possessing unique and formidable abilities.
In the cosmic scale, a power level of 10,000 is considered quite extraordinary.
So far, only a few Saiyans have ever reached or surpassed this level. These elite warriors are the cornerstone of the Saiyan's renowned dominance across the cosmos, rarely leaving Planet Vegeta unless they are conquering advanced planets.
Looking out into the vast expanse of space, it becomes clear that the dominant forces in the universe are generally of lower power. Advanced planets are not as common as one might think, and beings with power levels over 5,000 are rare, typically ruling over entire planets as supreme leaders.
In fact, many planets don't even have warriors with power levels over 1,000, placing them at the bottom of the universal hierarchy.
Originally, when Vegeta first arrived on Earth, his power level was just over 18,000, yet even then, he encountered few challenges in his conquests across the universe. Though there may be some "deities" hidden in the depths of space capable of catastrophic destruction, it is undeniable that the mainstream cosmic civilization possesses relatively low power levels.
The Ginyu Force follows an elite strategy, consisting of only five members, each with exceptional skills that cannot be underestimated. While the Saiyans are considered upper-middle strength in the Milky Way and feared across the North Galaxy, they still fall short compared to the Ginyu Force.
As Frieza's trump card, the power of the Ginyu Force is enough to command respect from all.
"Let's not even mention the other members for now; just the power level of their captain, Ginyu, has reached an astonishing 120,000!" Xavier's voice wasn't loud, but this softly spoken statement completely stunned Adriel and the others.
"My God, 120,000 power level, Xavier, are you sure about this? How could he possess such immense strength? Even King Vegeta's power level is only a bit over 10,000, and even with his Great Ape transformation, it barely reaches 100,000!" Lizzy exclaimed, her eyes wide with disbelief.
120,000 power level!
What kind of monstrous strength was that? For them, mere thousands in power level, it was an unthinkable force. How could such a monster exist in the universe? If Captain Ginyu truly possesses the strength Xavier claims, he far surpasses all Saiyans.
At that level, the quantity of a group becomes irrelevant. With a mere wave of his hand, he could annihilate all life on a planet. Against such a force, the Saiyans stood no chance.
