Chapter 32: New Mission

After a moment of contemplation, he waved dismissively at Xavier and Celine, "Alright, I'm aware of this. This matter is of great importance, and you two youngsters shouldn't get involved anymore. I'll go verify this with Rebecca."
The journey onward was silent. Adriel's thoughts were preoccupied with the future of the Saiyans, so much so that he didn't even inquire about the origin of Xavier’s Senzu Beans.
Upon returning home, Adriel and Rebecca secluded themselves in a room, emerging only in the evening with grave expressions and a palpable sense of worry.
The next day dawned dim and overcast.
Early in the morning, Adriel was already departing Planet Vegeta with his student Merus aboard a spacecraft headed for Planet Crag, on a training mission. However, his ulterior motive was to try and contact some of the more rational-minded Saiyans to discuss the future of their race, starting with his old comrades in arms.
Their first task was to ascertain the extent of Frieza’s power. If they couldn’t accurately gauge their adversary's strength, a reckless rebellion like that of King Vegeta would end in tragedy.
A war that was a matter of survival had to be fought with full knowledge of both the enemy and oneself.
As for this, Xavier could have been of assistance, but he couldn't directly reveal this information! Saiyans are prideful and often stubborn; telling them straight that Frieza's power was so immense he could annihilate the Saiyan race with a mere flick of his wrist, suggesting they prepare for retreat rather than a futile fight, would be utterly inconceivable and unacceptable to them.
Leaving aside the fact that Xavier could not clearly explain his source of information, even if he did, they would likely dismiss it, convinced that a true Saiyan warrior dies fighting, never retreating.
The concept that it's better to preserve one's forces and live to fight another day may only be embraced once they have personally sought out the answers and witnessed Frieza's daunting power for themselves. Perhaps then, with some guidance from Xavier, they would be ready to make a decisive decision.
...
In the distance, the mountains rose and fell, stretching endlessly into the horizon.
The rising sun quietly peeked out, its rays piercing through the thick mist in the woods, illuminating the earth and refracting into a dazzling array of vibrant colors.
Following a light rainfall the previous night, droplets still clung to the leaves. As the wind blew, these droplets slid off the leaves, creating a fine mist in the air. The lush, green foliage undulated seductively in the dense forest, twinkling amidst the misty atmosphere, brimming with the breath of life.
Inside Celine's home, in a hemispherical training room.
This was a typical Saiyan training area, measuring over ten meters in both length and width, with semi-arched walls made from the most advanced alloy and coated with a special energy-absorbing paint. This coating absorbed the excess energy released during training, making the training room shimmer with a modern, silvery glow without being glaring.
This ordinary training room lacked additional adjustments for air, temperature, or gravity, a common setup for universal training areas not yet adapted to the seemingly trivial factors that could significantly impact training effectiveness.
At that moment, the protective bio-robots on either side of the room were fully activated. Their single red eyes flickered ominously, and the energy emitters on their chests were charged, emitting a soft blue glow...
In the center of the training room, two small figures swiftly maneuvered around, engaging in intense combat while dodging sudden attacks from the bio-robots. Their exchanges were so rapid that afterimages constantly appeared around them, with dozens of interactions occurring in the blink of an eye.
The bio-robots operated in a set pattern, firing blue energy beams from their chest-mounted tubes, which crisscrossed in mid-air to form a vast net, aiming to ensnare the two figures like fish.
With a brief pause in mid-air, the figures fluidly altered their trajectories in a way that seemed almost impossible, narrowly avoiding the energy with astonishing angles. Xavier looked on at the young girl before him, his eyes filled with amusement. Celine's delicate face was set in concentration. Though it was just a casual sparring session with lowered intensity, Xavier's posture still showcased a different kind of martial artist—effortless, grandiose, and overwhelmingly powerful.
With a swift motion, Xavier vanished from in front of Celine, her eyes swiftly tracking his movements.
"Heh!" A fist suddenly appeared at Celine's waist. Her eyes sparkled as she slightly tilted her body to dodge the punch, the strong wind from the fist striking the ground and creating a series of thudding noises.
Her slender body darted, avoiding a relentless barrage of attacks, each wave more ferocious than the last, roaring and howling with aggression.
Celine swiftly retreated several meters, then squared her stance and dove forward, charging at Xavier!
Xavier's eyes flickered, intently following Celine's movements. "Bang!" Her fist came at him, but unfortunately, Xavier caught it with his elbows.
Observing Celine's straightforward, no-nonsense style of attack, Xavier nodded appreciatively and then quickly launched his own counterattack.
...
Clang! Clang! Clang!
A series of urgent electronic bells echoed through the training room, and dozens of bio-robots, as if receiving a simultaneous command, moved towards the walls of the training area. The silver arc-shaped walls suddenly opened, and several bio-robots disappeared into the walls, which shimmered with a metallic luster.
Rebecca watched quietly from the side. When she saw Xavier and Celine finish their training and walk out of the arena, she handed them towels, smiling, "Take these, wipe off the sweat. I didn't expect you both to manage attacking each other while dealing with 32 bio-robots. You know, each of these robots has an energy level of over 800 points! Managing this means your combat strength is nearly reaching 1000."
"Merely 1000 in power level, but it's still far from enough!"
Xavier wiped the sweat from his forehead, commenting that without suppressing his energy, such minimal exertion wouldn't even cause him to sweat.
"By the way, Mom, has our new mission been assigned yet?" Celine asked in a crisp voice, opening a bottle of water and taking a sip.
Rebecca smiled and handed over a form, "Look, this is your new mission. You are to eradicate a primitive tribe on Planet Dadoria. The mission is rated intermediate, so you'll need to form a Saiyan squad. The members of your squad are listed here!"
Xavier took the form and scrutinized it, his brow furrowing slightly before smoothing out again. Dadoria was a planet nearly at the intermediate level, similar in difficulty to their last mission on Planet Selma. However, this time, the mission bureau had tasked them with assembling a Saiyan squad for the operation.
These missions were directly assigned by Frieza's headquarters based on the Saiyan's capabilities. Though the Tuffles at the mission bureau were notoriously unpleasant, they dared not deviate from Frieza headquarters' instructions or exaggerate on the mission documents.
