Yeah I hope they do since Bleach has a very very big issue with power scaling and narrative inconsistencies - like the bigger the blade the bigger the spritiual energy? Huh? Doesn´t make sense in later Bleach. Rukia being this week, even befor giving Ichigo her powers? Being confused to seeing Renji as if she barely knows him? There is so much more plot that doesn´t make sense in retropespective and I hope to see an "remaster". I don´t know if the manga is also this inconsistant but I would assume so - since this seems like a typical "Author wants to make a 30 Chapter Manga but saw it´s success and popularity so he extendet it to 350 Chapters" situation.

2025-06-28 17:15:25 +0000 UTCThere was actually a recent interview with Tite Kubo today (June 26, which is his birthday), where Tite Kubo himself openly expressed interest in a remake of the original Bleach anime, especially for the earlier arcs. While he didn’t confirm any concrete plans, he said he would love to see the earlier story reanimated in a way that better aligns with how he originally envisioned it — with proper pacing, modern animation, and more faithful character portrayals. Of course I can see why, even from watching just these two episodes; Renji needs to have a less aggressive introduction, and of course they continue to attempt to alter our perception on Rukia's feelings over the matter with Ichigo. There are scenes even from the manga that Kubo would probably want to alter in order to make sure the writing stays consistent.
