God I love this, this episode is so good. I love how you said dios mio el diablo before knowing the thing is called menos grande lol

A few little tidbits, Bleach has a lot of Spanish and German names for stuff. “Menos grande” can be interpreted as “less large” or “large minus,” which I think is the correct translation. Then the beam it used on Ichigo is supposed to be called “Cero,” which means “zero.” The early subtitles put “Sero,” I’m guessing because they didn’t know yet.

While I do like how the manga explores Rukia's internal conflict, I do feel the anime pushes the “romantic angle” with her and Ichigo a bit more than the manga actually intended at this point. In the source material, her emotions here are more about the unfamiliar experience of forming real human bonds — something that’s new and unsettling for her after living with a kind of emotional detachment as a Soul Reaper. It’s less “I have feelings for Ichigo” and more “I’m starting to feel — and it hurts.” That emotional layer adds a lot more depth to her decision and why she feels so conflicted. I know I’ve commented before about how the anime shifts focus a bit in terms of character relationships, especially regarding Orihime, so I’m not sure if those earlier comments were read or not — but I really appreciate how open-minded you’ve been about the characters so far. Just thought this context might help make sense of some later developments. On a side note, there's quite a number of scenes that were altered quite a bit, like the scene with Rukia and Orihime with the girls, and quite a bit of generally superfluous filler towards the end with Ichigo and Rukia, as well as them bringing Kon to Uryu. Also I forgot to mention that episode 13 was also notably altered/trimmed in numerous ways, even suffering from censorship. And yet episode 12 was mostly untouched =( I feel like Bleach NEEDS a proper reboot, especially one that adapts the early arcs with the kind of care, pacing, and emotional accuracy that TYBW is finally giving the endgame. With modern animation, better pacing, and Kubo’s current involvement, there’s real potential to do justice to characters and restore the subtlety of the manga’s early storytelling — including the emotional nuance lost to filler, tone shifts, and outdated censorship.
