2025-09-20 18:18:57 +0000 UTCLulusia arc started and ended in one episode, nice! Jokes aside, I love the music and visuals of Lulusia's destruction. We have finally gotten a glimpse of the world gov's true power behind the curtains, and it makes their dominance far more believable. I suspect that they don't use this power unless absolutely necessary, because they want it to be kept a secret. If they had tried to destroy Wano, I feel like there would have been SOME survivors which could be troubling to them. Or perhaps everyone on Wano was still seen as less of a threat than Imu's existence being revealed. Actually you know what, the gov seemingly needs Robin captured alive as well - so maybe they couldn't destroy the island with her there. I also personally don't think it is entirely Imu's power, I think he just controls it like a weapon. I subscribe to the theory that it has to be an ancient weapon - most likely Uranus since it came from the sky and we have no information on what it is. I think it might be some huge flying entity, and that's why the one Lulusian said "there is something huge in the sky". Or I guess you could say that Imu IS Uranus itself, who knows. We have Shirahoshi who herself is an ancient weapon, so it is possible.

2025-06-16 13:44:59 +0000 UTCOda did not initially want wano to go on for as long as it did and the pressure from his editors being public about it, forced oda to make a very informed decision about the story moving forward so he took a month break away from the manga and was able to map out and plan the ending of his story. Finally, he declared he's going to re-work the story so he can wrap it up sooner. That is probably why you are already noticing a significant pacing difference between egghead and wano just in these two episodes alone.
