Okay, a couple of things. A. Talk no jutsu is boring and unrealistic B. Madara should have been the final villain to save us from the travesty that is…. boruto… jesus. C. Orochi was the product of REVENGE, he hated the kozuki clan because they slaughtered his family, he was given the chance at revenge and had no qualms making the people who were complicit suffer. I agree with big mom take, I’m not really a fan, but Kaido was trying to wage war on the world, why should he care about 1 country when he’s trying to gear up to take on the entire world government to start a revolution. D. Naruto characters and villains having more depth is a WILD take… the akatsuki members were mostly in it for the money or for sadism, Sakura crushing on a dude that has assaulted her, called her trash, tried to kill her, and kept chasing him just because she had a childhood crush on him is INSANE. E. Which naruto villain has depth? Madara? Pain? Obito? They literally all couldn’t accept reality and opted for the infinite tsukiyomi… that’s not depth, that’s putting a bandaid on a shitty situation. That’s boring writing. If you’re looking for depth, look at the world elders who are trying to prevent revolution in one piece by suppressing world history and a literal god. Look at doflamingo who was treated like a god and brought down by his father to become a peasant, and lashing out because he believes everyone’s beneath him. Look at Katakuri who believed his weakness would cause his family pain because the one time he showed it, his sister brulee was scarred for life, so he took on the guise of an indestructible paragon to prevent that from ever happening again. Bull crap naruto has more depth. Oda is a better writer in every way. Naruto’s good, but it can’t hold a candle to one piece world building and story telling. You have to look past the SEVERE unlinkability of the characters in one piece and see it from their PoV. World nobles are treated like gods, and protected by paragons of strength, (admirals) they have never been punished, of course they’re going to be sadistic pos’. Orochi’s family was slaughtered by the kozuki, ofc he’s not going to give af about the people of wano. They were complicit. Your take is WILD.

"Orochi is almost too unlikeable". Yes, that's why generally I prefer Naruto style villains like Nagato, Madara, or Obito to One Piece villains. I don't even really give AF about Kaido, Big Mom, or Orochi as characters tbh, which is weird since they are such major villains. Naruto by comparison gives a ton of depth to its villains, and often makes their reasoning at least somewhat understandable. One Piece usually has villains that are just pure irredeemable evil and their overall reasoning is more shallow by comparison. I feel like the best formula is to have a mix of the two types of villains, because pure evil villains like Doflamingo or Orochimaru still bring a ton of value to the story and are amazing characters.

Yeah, if you didn't catch it the only reason it took so long to kill a Roche is all of his head had to be decapitated. He was down to the final one

bro you need to do a video going over every single impact frame at least for 1074 and the big mom episode... this level of animation is unreal. The one of Luffy standing on the clouds upside down where he does the gear 2 pose and the close up on Luffy's eye reflecting the demon that is Kaido might be my two favorite animation sequences in anime. I can understand where some people are coming from when they say these episodes are moving too fast to even be able to tell what's happening but the way I see it, Luffy is a god fighting damn near another god so we can't expect them to move like regular humans. The level of power that these two are fighting at now is faster, stronger, and more durable than regular people can even comprehend. I'm the complete opposite from people who say it's moving too fast and I think it perfectly fits the goofy, carefree, but intentional and determined world Oda has created. I'm beyond grateful that Toei understands the importance of these fights and what they mean for the story.

kaido went from final boss to the underdog and i love it

You asked how Kaido is this powerful, but Bro, he's the strongest "creature" in the world. There are some reasons why the World Government has so many powerful forces, but they didn't go after Kaido for so long. One of them is how strong he is. Not everyone can hurt him, even IF they can hurt him, not everyone has the stamina to weaken him, and even if he is weakened, not everyone can take him down completely, let alone have the forces to take down his commanders. No one can take down Kaido in that flying Island unless it's Luffy, but this battle is not for Luffy to elevate himself only, but also his crew. 1075 is insane. It showed the colonization that Kaido did, and people in Wano who are imprisoned throughout two decades as slaves in their own land, pray every second to let someone help them, free them, liberate them. The way the samurai in Onigashima pray to Luffy to liberate them, and Luffy being the sun God, the God that slaves pray to free them. It's just peak.

Gita

I recommend not, because it will be in the story later anyways.

Artemis

At the end of Wano Oda revealed Zoro’s entire family history in an SBS. He stated it will likely not have its own part in the story and is completely extra information. I recommend looking up yourself because it is interesting.
