The Patreon reactions act as a watch-along being uncut with a timer on screen! This way, you can watch my full reaction by syncing up the show on an official platform on another device, another tab on your computer, etc.

Oh yeah, I forgot we just connected the dots when Koby mentioned his invention in Post Enies. My bad!

While your zeal for Greek myth is noted, here it is misplaced. The Yamata no Orochi is typically depicted as an eight-headed dragon. It has little association with the Greek Hydra save the general archetype of the chaotic serpent/dragon in most world mythologies (Leviathan, Tiamat, etc.). The Yamata no Orochi has its own lore built around the heroism of Susanoo, who, perhaps, shares an archetype with Heracles, but they are on-the-face-of-it not the same characters. Secondly, if the older way of using "dragon" is permitted, why be bothered by someone not saying serpent? In Eastern tradition, dragons and serpents have very little morphological differences. They are unanimously serpentine but still called "dragons" when translated.

Hey Jack, do you plan to add more Patreon tiers in the future that allow subscribers to request reactions to other anime or videos (whether single episodes or whole seasons)? Something similar to what Heisuten offers. I wouldn’t go for it right now since you’re still busy with OP, but once you’re done, it would be awesome to have an option for custom paid reactions. You’re my favorite reactor btw, even though I usually enjoy watching groups of 2+ people reacting together. Thanks for your videos!

His work may have been teased in Alabasta but his name wasn't stated until post Enies Lobby

Hyori didn't time travel so she has been living on wano all those 20 years while Momo stayed a baby basically She would be 26 so definitely not one of the kids we've seen

Karatsuki

Komurasaki is W for that. Also, Dr. Vegapunk had been mentioned as early as Alabasta when Usopp and Chopper fight with Mr. 4 and Ms. Merry Christmas. He's probably the only character that had been mentioned and hyped up time and time again for 900+ episodes and we still haven't seen him.

I wonder when you'll realize that orochi's voice is Dr. Hogback from thriller bark

They are in fact not dragons, but rather belong to the family of serpents. Specifically the hydra also known as the Lernaean Hydra is a serpentine lake monster from greek mythology. It is at no point during the mythology refered to as a dragon, nor does it bare a many of the common draconic traits. Rather it is refered to as drakōn which is a group of creatures where i doubt you'd call most of them a dragon by modern standerd. The closest related family to the hydra is a serpentine giant name Typhon and a viper-lady named Exhidna. While these are often refered to as dragons, they are strikingly different from what we in modern time refer to as a dragon and more closely resemble other sea and lake serpents like Midgardsormen in norse mythology and the Loch ness monster.

Fun Fact: Orochi's devil fruit, the Yamata no Orochi is from an old mythological story about Susanoo (from whom comes the name of the power in Naruto) slaying it. Secondly, a classic Toei film about this story, Wanpaku Ouji no Orochi Taiji, is the direct art inspiration for The Legend of Zelda: The Wind Waker.

Wrong on both counts, lol. Caribou was not made to look like Caesar Chavez or Fidel Castro. Caribou was made to look like Che Guevara.

Jack has been asking for orochi for so long. Even though we saw him before. Finally he got to hear him ^^ And a clarification jack, That is a hyrdra, not a dragon. Close though. Love hydras, their mythology and lore is awesome.
