i like how all the fans are voiced by main cast VAs

Dark Kronis

She didn't recognize Ussop because Ussop didn't have a bounty yet, Sogeking did.

Shapeisium Fish

FYI the grandma in the start was voiced by Luffy's VA

Umar Baig

yeh his first bounty was as sogekingu.

Mohamad Syafiq MOHAMAD

You could watch 103 dragons mercies also. It's a one-shot special about ryuma ( The guy in triller bark who gave zoro the sword). It's pretty good.

sarthak bhatia

Jack, please please please read all of the cover stories (up until the start of Wano). There's one all about Bege and Chiffon and Lola, and it's amazing

SimStu

Jack the next level crybaby😂 still legendary episode

Umar Baig

She didnt recognise usopp because at that time, usopp's bounty poster was sogeking~!

Darooude

the Megumi glaze took me out lol. I mean she's amazing and all but she's not the only good director out there in the world.

Levy

The outro song was sung by all the strawhat members:)

dude said "minor corrections"

Nermin Selimovic

Minor corrections/additions to some of these comments, this isn't the standard of animation for One Piece right now, it's true that One Piece looks a lot better now than it used to basically starting from Wano onwards but it most definitely doesn't look like this. The only episode that looked like this was 1115, the other famous episode directed by MEGUMI ISHITANI (THE GOAT). She's the director of these episodes and the reason things look this way, AND the reason why you cried in a story not technically about the Straw Hats and with a whole cast of new characters all receiving storylines that interweaved with each other in a short twenty minutes, SOMEHOW without feeling rushed. The only person who can pull that off is Megumi Ishitani, the person who made 1115, an episode where technically very little actually happens, feel incredibly paced and emotional. She's a master of storytelling through art and animation, so much to the point that even Toei's terrible pacing can be fixed by her through sheer art skill and creativity. Anyway, I just don't want Jack to get his hopes up that all episodes will be like this, most of them are still extremely lousily paced and stretched out, though the animation and visuals at least look better (but even then, only some episodes have top notch animation, most just have better visuals but the animation is still pretty lazy and uninspired. Not the fault of the animators, just a problem that weekly episodes have created). And also, pay attention to that name. Megumi Ishitani is arguably anime's number one director right now, and whatever she works on here on out is guaranteed to be a banger. Your hopes about the WIT remake looking like this are probably not going to come true, but not in a bad way. But as far as I'm aware, Megumi isn't involved in that project, meaning her classic picture-book painting artstyle won't be what the remake looks like. That said, based on the key art we've already received for the remake, I'm sure it will still be beautiful and the animation will still be gorgeous. Finally, what can be considered canon in the One Piece story is always debatable but I always stick purely with "If it's not manga by Oda, it's not canon". There is plenty of Oda approved official licensed One Piece media that isn't canon, even One Piece Film Red, which Oda laid out the entire story for himself, and even canonized Uta in the manga, isn't actually canon. Uta herself IS canon, but we know literally nothing about her character in the manga canon, just like we barely know anything about Golden Lion Shiki despite having a whole movie with him as the antagonist. So I wouldn't take this episode as canon, more like filler, but just the highest possible quality of filler imaginable. Naturally it doesn't technically interfere with the story so you can head-canon it if you want, but the entire forced (again for filler reasons so its not a real critique) plotline about the "secret weapon" that can melt ships AND their coating is absolutely ridiculous. Can you imagine if that was a real thing? I mean, the little Nami didn't destroy or deactivate the weapon (and even if she did they would easily be able to make more), so if this was canon, that weapon should be all over post-timeskip. Why haven't we seen the Navy use or even mention this weapon at all since Return to Sabaody? Clearly it's because its not canon.

The moment when the navy soldier heard luffy gave me goosebumps-- it was amazing!

Love the set up!!😭😍😍

I love all the little easter eggs spread throughout this episode. It's definitely worth a rewatch to see more and more things you didn't notice the first time round. Like the CP agents that grabbed fake Robin. No one knowing Usopp because he was only known as Sogeking. Or even when the giant bird flies over the group you can see Sanji's nosebleed fountain. But IMO the best part is it really gives you a perspective of what its like for a normal person. Following regular people rather than the freaks of nature we usually follow. Just how terrifying Marineford was.

Random3x

Rumor has it, when you whisper One Piece in Jack's ear he starts crying.

Mike Drop

Youve had a glimpse of modern one piece animation budget! Be excited for whats to come jack, be very excited ;)

Eddy

It did not disappoint 🥲

Clarissa

how a 24 min episode was able to draw so many emotions out of me in is insane

chrisis

is it even 'd-riding' at this point to say this show is peak ? it's literally just a fact that this show cant be topped, it just gets better and better and better and...

VENTUZ

I specifically did not watch this episode in hopes that you would watch it so we could watch it together. And i am so glad i waited. This was a blast.

Sceptic Llama

This is current one piece animation style

José Lima

Oh, this special episode is for the 25th Anniversary of One Piece Anime! It's like a thank you letter from the staff to One Piece fans for staying with them throughout the big 25 years. However, for the 6-month break, they will fill it with Fishman Island Remake, so they will re-animate Return to Sabaody - Fishman Island arc and make it shorter, from 58 eps to 21 eps, cmiiw. Airing from Nov to April 2025 and then the current arc will continue. :D Glad you enjoy it. It shows how much we can do to the One Piece universe, that even NPC's point of view would bring us tears and move us. Also, the director of this episode directed some of the best canon episodes later in Wano. One of those episodes is mostly people's top 1 episode in the whole show. They will probably tell you when the time comes tho, so be ready, Jack! A new journey has just begun :D

Gita

EVERYONE SAY THANK YOU TO MEGUMI ISHITANI! SHE DIRECTED THIS MASTERPIECE 😭🙏🏽

Kayla Jimenez

the anime director of this episode is said to be one of the best. she directed one of the best episodes in wano and ended up directing this fan letter! also this fan letter comes from the officially licensed spin-off novel Straw Hat Stories, which has been approved by Oda, so it's considered canon! also fun fact, the voice actors are singing the opening We Go! at the end credits scene 🥹🫶🏽 i also cried as well

Kayla Jimenez

Man I legit cry harder every time I rewatch this shit LMAO what a perfect episode

Alejandro Pupo

Just so you know, One Piece Fan Letter isn't really Episode 1124, it is again Crunchyroll f*cking everything up (like there isn't even an episode 1123), it is just called One Piece Fan Letter. I'm guessing it's their program that automatically titled it like that, but yeah...

ImZeaT

Jack getting a taste of the current animation. the editing/direction of this was also top tier tho. the Director has done a few eps of One Piece and all of them are regarded as some of if not the best episodes in the series

Vincent S Deluca

Remember during Sabaody Ussops only bounty was the pic of Sogeking, nobody knew who he was without the mask. The giant bugs were also from Heracles'n who came to back up Ussop and the SH's

Vincent S Deluca

This was a love letter not a fan letter

canadian shnitzl

Ooooh going to watch this as soon as I finish work! Not watched this episode yet but my brother was hyping this up in the one piece group chat I have with him, my boyfriend and one of our besties , so well excited 😊
