If she was Sharly's daughter that would mean Sharly and Big Mom had a daughter together lol

Wesley Owens

About Moscato the son who died earlier.. If you look at like the chapter right after he "died", his siblings actually tell Big Mom's homies to make sure they collect every "second". The implication from that bit of dialogue is that they gathered up his scattered lifespan, and inserted it back into his body.

Chrispz

@DiamonDust Yeah I see that ^^ Im glad I could be educated a little hehe.

Fenerox

@Fenerox It's cool, I was not angry or anything. I just prefer people to only tell reactors things that are facts or framed as opinions/theories as to not give them potential misinfo. I was not trying to say that it is fact that people can see it, I am just saying we cannot prove it either way but that I personally believe it makes more sense to assume people can see it. It is really not completely your fault for thinking that was the case, either, because it is such a widespread belief as you said. Plus Oda never bothers to explain it at all lol, that's why there are these theories in the first place.

DiamonDust

I must have read people say it enough to believe it myself, its my bad, ive edited the post.

Fenerox

I would say this is a bit different than those examples, though. It makes sense how a slash from an armament infused blade would have armament haki even at a distance, because the blad was coated with haki. I think cladding a DF substance that is not even connected to you in armament is a lot more impressive by OP standards, because it actively had armament with zero contact at all ever being made to Katakuri's main body.

DiamonDust

You are starving my friend 😭

Amogelang Semenya

Your theory is gonna be my head Canon from now on

Amogelang Semenya

Using Armament at a distance or outside your body is nothing new. Kuja have haki arrows and Zoro had his swords, not to mention Doflamingo's haki strings which is what Katakuri is doing.

Veritas

The theory that armament is only black for the reader/viewer never really made sense to me, I've always felt like the way it's shown in the anime is pretty logical and easy to understand. I think the black armament was added just as a new way to visualize it, not necessarily that because luffy knows it now he can see it too. It's armor so I feel like it should have some kind of visible color to it. Also what about characters like vergo? They pretty much established that haki is visible with his second form. Even though It's different it kinda reminds me of the breathing techniques in demon slayer and how the characters don't actually see them only we do.

chrisis

Why do people keep saying this? I swear I see somebody say this every time Jack mentions haki color, maybe it is the same people repeating this theory. What you said is just a theory, not fact. Oda has never said this, people just make that assumption. It's not even a reasonable assumption to make, because we still see invisible haki all the time post timeskip. There is the "black blades" thing from Mihawk/Zoro. It is called hardening rather than simply armament for a reason, and it is an advanced technique that makes the haki visible - at least to those with observation Haki. I think it's clear that characters can see when someone is using Armament if they have observation haki, and they likely see it as colors like we do. We just could probably not see it pre timeskip because it was from Luffy PoV who has no observation haki. The colors ARE actually important. Jack is spot on that Luffy and Katakuri's Hardening Haki is on a more advanced level than typical hardening, and that is why the color is no longer black.

DiamonDust

a thing to remember the black colouring was added post time skip just so it was clear when characters were using Haki. Pre Time skip there were characters using Haki like Garp for instance when he hit Luffy. But it wasn't visible.

Random3x

fair enough, that is true that swords turn black when the wielder is strong enough and has a lot of Haki. I thought it was a confirmation, as I dont recall a single time its been explained or talked about in-universe about the colors of haki on the body. But it still stands that the color of armament haki is wildly inconsistent.

Fenerox

Regarding Moscato, yes he did actually die in his introduction but he was later revived. If you notice shortly after the attack, Mont-d'Or talks to the Incarnations (those black blobs that collect people's souls in Whole Cake) and asks them to retrieve "every last second." That means Big Mom's children also have their souls scattered around Whole Cake just like regular citizens. By gathering Moscato's scattered lifespan, they managed to revive him. The only part I'm not certain of is whether Big Mom's children pay the same amount as everyone else or if she's a bit more lenient towards them (maybe 1 month per year). A personal theory is that her kids just keep a stash of lifespan for each sibling in case of emergencies like that one. Regardless, Big Mom is a terrible mother, Katakuri rules and Pudding for life...

Jay P.

Not fully true. Remember that an abundance of haki energy can turn a weapon black, this is explained when talking about blades like Mihawks sword. The "Black blade" technique is confirmed. So while haki might not nessesitate a color. It can certainly have it in universe.

Sceptic Llama

That's a load of shit and cop out people talk about seeing it all the time.

erueka6

Oda fr have attachment issues because refusing to kill off even background characters is crazy

Happy

Jack asking why moscato isn’t dead, I didn’t clock it when I watched but since I’ve watched through reactions I noticed that mont dor literally told the big mom blobs to put every drop of life big mom took from him

Kelvin Palama

Pound is getting pounded by Oven

Uselesskazuma

Woah, only 10 more days of Whole Cake!

SimStu

Important to note that this has never been confirmed, and is just one of the explanations as to why we couldn't see haki pre-timeskip. Another explanation could be that since Luffy didn't know Haki/hadn't trained his Observation/Armament Haki, the reader also couldn't see it. Both are equally possible since neither has been confirmed...

ImZeaT

Peak fight for 2 peak characters

canadian shnitzl

i can take katakuri (not in a fight)

Kayla Jimenez

One theory people have say haki is invisible, the color on their skin and arms is just for the reader. Thats why Rayleigh didnt have any, cause at that point it wasnt fully explained yet and the color wasnt shown or implemented for readers yet. The difference in haki colors is often inconsistent and at times is not important. The anime especially mixes up colors and overdoes it at time especially later. Edit: It is just a theory. Edit 2: I apologize for being wrong on some of this, my intent wasn't to anger anyone. I made a mistake in assuming something I should've fond a source for earlier.
